Only God should judge.
Nate wrote:The opposite of love is apathy. To have no feelings, good or bad, about what someone is doing. To not care at all.
Mave wrote:It's not so much whether how much you hate or how much you love. I'm more interested in "what" you love or hate. Hopefully, it's consistent with the Bible.
EireWolf wrote:When I agreed with Nate's statement (that apathy is the opposite of love), I was thinking in the context of a person that you know or have interaction with, not someone "out there" that you've never met, like an author. For instance, when I was younger I had moments of hatred for my father. Now, if I didn't care a whit about my father, I would not have hated him. But because I loved him, I hated him sometimes. Does that make any sense?
In a way, it's possible to love and hate someone simultaneously. It is not possible to love someone and have apathy for them simultaneously.
