I need glasses!

Postby Android raptor » Thu Jul 21, 2005 5:18 pm

Well, got my eyes checked today, and as it turns out, I need glasses! I'm actually kinnda' excited, cause' I've been having problems seeing far away text and hopefully this will help! I picked out some really nice frames, and they'll be in on the 27th. But that's the day I'm leaving to go to Washington (state), so I'll have to wait.

We'll have to see your choice when you get them. ^_^

Ooh, you'll look smart. I wonder what they will look like.

Well, I don't have a digital camera (yet), but if I get one (for my B-day, perhaps), I'll be sure and take pictures!

I'm glad you're happy about getting them. I remember when I found out I had to get glasses I was not happy. I was in third grade and we were watching the animated "Watership Down", and everyone was oohing and aahing about a rabbit getting a wire stuck in its leg or something, and I suddenly realized I couldn't see wahat was going on on the TV. Next thing you know, glasses.

I HATED getting glasses. Hopefully, you'll have a better attitude about it. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. Just annoying. Although people DO seem to think you're smarter than you are!
WHen I got mine,I was in sixth grade, and thought I had escaped the family genes for bad eyesight. I was sure wrong. I found out I couldn't read the board in the math room. Then we went to the optometrist and got these enormous glasses. Ah well, I've some smaller ones now. Perhaps I can get contacts soon.

Congratulations on your new glasses!

I got my first pair of glasses in the third grade. I didn't say much, but neglected to wear them entirely. This year I hid behind my glasses for the entire semester and ditched them in summer. Now I'm starting to wear them again, but only while reading or using the computer. Glasses are also very helpful when watching a movie with subtitles. :)

Welcome to the club...

I first got glasses in the 5th grade but never wore them because they looked silly. They were huge round purple frames. Thanks mom. But I can't blame her, what else could we afford? We were financially broke.

Anyways in 8th grade I upgraded to contacts and started to wear my glasses at night time. Now I have a decent set of glasses but tend to only wear them at night still.

But yeah. Rock on!

Yup. I don't see it as a big deal, since so many people wear them. Plus there are quite a few anime characters with glasses. Though I probably won't wear them to AWA, in order to be more in-character.

I've worn glasses since I was like...hunmdummm...5 or 6ish. They're not that bad, but I like my contacts better. 'cept for gaming. Contacts have a habit of drying up on me in the middle of an online bout.
