Grandparents Divorcing

Postby Madeline » Mon Aug 30, 2004 8:03 pm

Amidst all of the chaos that's been going on for the last couple of years in my life, a serious family issue has arisen. I'd like to go into details, but I would have to explain too much about our family's past. It's painful to see this happen...I feel like my grandfather has betrayed me and my family.
It's over my mom's step-sister...she's the one causing the problem...but he would rather blame it on my mom and my aunt than face the truth.
A long and painful story...this has been going on for years, and it seems that my mom's step-sister, or whatever she is now, has some serious mental problems...please just pray over our family.
I'm trying to give him another chance...the way he's treated me over the years...it's subtle, and he has shown me kindness and love and treated me as a grandchild...but I'm starting to harbor hatred against him for it.
All of them...I just want this to go away. I want them all to admit the truth.
But I can't say anything, because it's not my place...my mom is really hurting from this too.
I'll stop there. Just keep us in your prayers...all of my family...my dad's side, too. It seems like problems are everywhere...
My parents are always stressed out while everyone else just dumps their problems on them and goes out for a movie and some dinner...
I want to be like that, too. But I love them too much...I don't want to get depressed any more, but I can't just leave them when we're talking about an issue...I just feel confused.
Keep us in your prayers.
God Bless,
-Madeline

Should we ever 'fail', God already knew that. God is never suprised by anything we do or any messups we made. Ultimately God's plan is perfect and we shall spend our lives continously being suprised by what God does in our lives.

Our Mission: Continue to serve God and share the Gospel as best as we can. That is all. Don't worry for the end result is already written. Everything is in God's timing.

Our Responsibility: We must diligently study the Bible, pray often, and ask each other questions so that we may accurately communicate the Word of God.

Father, keep Madeline safe during the storm. Protect her from the winds and the rage threatening to engulf her and her family. Bring them safely through to the other side.

Amen.

:(

I don't know what that's like, so I don't know if I can relate, but that doesn't really matter, I guess.
I will pray for you and your family.

Keep in mind that if you can't forgive others, then God can't forgive you. If you hold bitterness in your heart, it may cause a lot of problems later in life. My mom told me that.

I know how hard it is to forgive someone :stressed: , but a guest speaker at our church, Rev. Kim Wetteland, said that we should pray for those who have wronged us until love grows in our hearts.
^_^ I hope this helps you. God bless!--the Vashage.
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

Not to sound like just about everyone else who posted in this thread, but I'll be praying for you and your family.
