That picture is amusing (though it shouldn't be), primarily because I first opened the modified file by accident and basically thought it was Shino (until I read Mave's post, which I was doing simultaneously). Interesting indeed. [Don't worry about the stomach- I'll let it pass without much trouble.]

I hope this rivalry will come to an end soon (by which I mean 'after this fight' which could be anything but soon). At least we're finally done with all the other fights and issue 217 appeared to be the beginning of the end of this saga.

yeah, poor Sakura.... I was never really fond of her but I do feel bad for her.
I think there are 3 instances where I felt for Sakura in the manga so far. 1) When Sasuke steps on the apple slices Sakura cut up for him. Grrr...I really wanted to spank Sasuke then! He completely ignored her! 2) After Kakashi interfered with Naruto and Sasuke's "deathmatch", on the roof, Kakashi comforts her. 3) When Sakura begs Naruto and co. to bring Sasuke back. Siiiggghhh... I can't blame her for crying so much, she can't really do much in those circumstances, IMO
Was anyone else not surprised in the slightest by issue 218? I was almost completely certain that at least an entire issue would be spent without any actual fighting happening. No, Naruto's jump does not count because Sasuke wasn't fighting back.

Now, though, Masashi is running out of time. He'll have to get to the point sooner or later. Hopefully not more than another half episode.

I wasn't really surprised although the way Sasuke appears now makes me >_<. "Arrgghhh, is it too late??? Noooo..... *looks around and wonders how Sasuke fans react to this* :bang: :bang:

LOL Looks like Naruto is considering kidnapping by force at this point since talking doesn't seem to be doing any good (like it ever did before haha). Yeah, Naruto, go full force!!

I sure hope Masashi starts justifying Sasuke's actions. SOON.

Oh, indeed, nightblade, indeed. This is the climax of the entire saga. I'm looking forward to this.

I am a Sasuke fan, though he's being an incredible git. Personally, I'm just annoyed with him. I never liked Seal Level One, though we'll see what Sasuke's Level Two looks like. Personally, I just patiently wait for him to come around. He's a main character, after all.

I don't think there will be any justification. Sasuke's really pretty shallow. Goal: kill Itachi. Beyond that I think he really doesn't care where he gets power from.

Oh I should have emphasized "Sasuke fangirls." Oh well....

I guess there's a part of me that just wants to believe that Sasuke goes deeper than that. *wonders where Itachi is in this whole mess, "watching and eating popcorn?"*

Ah. I seriously doubt it will change fangirls the slightest.

Personally, I wonder more about Itachi's organization. What exactly are their overall goals? Who are the people controlling them? Will they be the major threat after Orochimaru, or a simultaneous thing? On the subject, I wonder how much longer the series will go as a whole. It's into its twenty fifth volume, and this story arc is hardly wrapped up. But could they do something after Orochimaru?

As for Itachi's organization, it seems like they're
gathering all the 'demons' for some kind of evil plot--world domination it seems. Seeing they're after Kyubi after all... are they after Shusaku of Sand as well?
And the lastest chapter--well, it actually got me kinda annoyed in the anticipation. As well as it gave another boatload of "proof" for the sasunaru fans -_-;; Kishimoto's been dragging this for way too long... though I admit to have Sasuke be a total bad guy is something I might look forward to. Gives it a more twist I would say...

I believe this may be a relatively widespread feeling. Unfortunately, Masashi has a talent for dragging things out, without necessarily making it obvious he is doing so.

Bleh. That is the sum total of my feeling on the topic.

I have always (and still do) believed that Sasuke would eventually become one of the primary protagonists of the story. Up until this point I had not considered that he might become truly evil. This would be quite unique, and I would probably think higher of Kishimoto for it... but I doubt this very much.

Actually, I thought Sasuke would attempt to/actually side with Orochimaru and eventually become good later on (because of Naruto and/or Sakura).

Regarding 219... I was dissapointed. It wasn't even as good as the last fight between them, though not bad. And I did call that even more time would be spent in grayscale before the fight (though I said 50% and it was more like 31.5%).

I've been looking around Japanese websites and have found out about a Naruto movie...so...that's pretty cool. When I get some money I plan on buying some import dvds, because I have yet to see any of them... I have read all the manga though. I just hope Naruto doesn't get picked up by Fox of 4kids...that show is not made for that kind of audience.

Likewise, I would enjoy seeing the Naruto movie. However, I am uncertain how it would be possible to get my hands on it.

I wish to applaud you for not immediately blasting 4Kids as a terrible dubbing studio. Instead you posted something intelligent and meaningful: Naruto is not intended for the manner of audiance that 4Kids generally works in.
