Short Stories and Poetry Contests?

I have seen contests for the Art section for a while now but was wondering if maybe we could also implement writing contests? I don't know if there would be prizes (not that that matters to me personally) or who would judge and what not. Just thinking it could be fun

There was a short story contest this past October, judged by the mods. I won, because I was the only participant. I think that all the other writers on CAA were preparing for NaNoWriMo, and that's why almost nobody entered. So one reason there hasn't been any since then is probably a combination of the lack of participation, NaNoWriMo, and the holidays.

At the moment, though, there are already two contests underway, so I don't think any writing ones will be happening for at least a little while. But I'm game for almost any kind of writing contest, and hopeful that there will be some soon.
