Earlier this year, my brother and I had to clean our rooms and I found my binder and box full of cards... They're all from the 90's though. But we made new decks, and actually played according to the rules since we could understand them now that we're older. XD I know I'm only 18, and my brother is 20, but it was sweet nostalgia...

Trading card games are generally considered geeky, but I don't think that's a big deal. I enjoy "geeking out," actually. So hey, if you like playing Pokemon cards, why not play it? Be comfortable with what you like, man. :)

I used to play it ages ago... like 12 years ago. There were only 151 pokemon back then :P I've got like over a thousand cards but I'm gonna sell em when I get a chance. I don't want them and I've got too much junk. It was all starter decks anyway. I had a paper route back then and I'd usually buy the starter sets cause I thought buying little packets with 6 cards in it (or however many came in a pack) was a rip off. I think I had like 9 or 10 starter sets at least. So like 50% of my cards are element cards :D My favorite card was this ancient Mew card that was given out as a promo card for the first Pokemon movie. Oh and I also have the whole BurgerKing Golden Pokemon card set from the movie promo too (there were 6 of them).

But it was a fun game. Yugioh was more fun IMO

I used to collect the cards as well, but I don't play the game anymore. I haven't seen anyone who plays this game for about 7 years.

I have a whole bunch of pokemon cards but I don't understand the rules at all. My favorite is this Mew card I got from my friend it doesn't have any words on it just a whole lot of weird symbols.

You must mean the Ancient Mew card.

I find the rules pretty simple compared to other TCGs. What are you having a hard time understanding?
