I voted weeks ago via absentee ballot. I don't think I've voted yet in a general election that I actually went to the polls.

I wanted to, but with my exam tomorrow, I decided it wasn't a good idea to drive over three hours one way to vote. ^_^;; If it was on top of things, I would have done an absentee ballot. Then again, if Rai's story says anything, it may not have mattered anyhow.
I would have voted for *herd of LOLcats stampeding through*

Hope that's not too political.

*displays "I voted" sticker*

Went there around 2 in the afternoon, not a line at all. I don't know if it was the time, or if my area is just too small to have a huge turnout. XD

I learned my lesson about showing up later in the day in 1980 (I was one of the people who was inside the place and still waiting when the polls officially closed. We had to stand around waiting for them to get authorization to let us vote) I've been in the habit of going the morning of Election Day ever since. I think I've only done the vote-ahead-of-time thing once, because I actually did have a conflict on Election Day, but I think that was for a primary. One time I was the first guy to show up! (Okay, I'll admit, that was when I was volunteering as an election worker.)

Wow, really?!
In all my three times of voting, only once has the line been not short (during the day too). And that was actually a day-before prevoting thing which was long.... (which is odd). And voting is compulsory.

I woke up bright and early to get the polls on voting day.
It was my first time to be able to vote since I turned 18 this year. :)
The lines weren't too bad, though there was no line when I got out.

I love how people fret that paper ballots are so terrible and we just can't go back to them, and have to have all these technological solutions, yet in places like the UK and Oz, there's not a 'voting machine' in sight anywhere. Strangely, they don't seem to have much difficulty tallying their elections.

I voted. It was fairly crowded. But, more so for those that were registering to vote at the same time. For registered voters, the line wasn't overly long.

And, it was paper ballots here.

I'm totally going to laugh if I get my absentee ballot in the mail, BTW. It's not like I didn't give them plenty of notice - I asked for it in early-mid October.
