Q for So Cal People

Postby Jaltus-bot » Sat Aug 23, 2008 9:17 pm

I am an early/mid twenties white woman. Which makes for a better story?

1. I spent the other saturday hanging out in the projects of Watts.

2. I already hung out on a street corning in Inglewood at 1 am.

I have done both of these and would not mind getting a reaction from people when I tell them about it.

Thanks

The inglewood one. Watts isn't that iffy if you're around the towers at daytime.

Definitely this.

If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

That was a couple blocks and then literally the other side of the tracks from up. I was at Compton Ave and E 112 st., about three miles NNE of the city of Compton. I never realized the two were so close. *makes note for future visit*

For the benefit of everyone who isn't from SoCal, can someone translate stories 1 & 2?

Should that be 'corner' rather than 'corning'?

I still vote for Inglewood... 1 am is a totally different situation than anywhere in Watts in the day.
