CAA Monthly Contest: August 2008!

Postby Aileen Kailum » Wed Aug 06, 2008 9:57 pm

It's that time of the month again.

That's right, it's time for me to take out that stick and beat the dead horse--

I mean, rally the artists and writers of CAA!
We had two entrants for last month's contest, Goldenspines and myself. You can see the entries here:
Goldenspines: http://christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=49318
Mine: http://christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=49442

As Goldy was the only one to submit an entry before the deadline she gets to choose the theme for this month. Here it is!

August Theme: Ice Cream
August Deadline: August 31st [subject to change]

Further information can be found in the Rules and Theme thread, here: http://christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=46458

Okay, I know it has stuff about the April/May contest, but just ignore that stuff. The important stuff--THE RULES--are right below it.

Here's hoping to see some entries!

Sounds like a good theme.
I've got some ideas.

Not sure if I can deliver...
but you know, ideas.

The manga contest is new since I was last around - its the sort of contest where a lot of effort goes into entries so I'm really impressed at the level people have done so far. Hopefully there'll be a good couple of entries for August. :)

Alright! Another recruited towards the glorious cause!

I mean, welcome. It's wonderful to have another possible participant join the ranks.

I just realized I bungled the thread title. Obviously, you can shoot me now.

Gah, T_T
I'm totally idealess for this topic, but I want to participate.

If anyone needs help with lineart or colors or something, give me a shout. I'm free for the whole month, school doesn't start until September for me.

Just an update for everyone!

We have our first entry of the month, a cute story by bakura_fan. Not only is it the longest entry to date, it's also the first one done in color!
You can find it here: http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=49641

Don't forget, everybody, the deadline is the end of August. So let's see some entries!
