Good Job! One step forward….

I’ve beaten Halo for the PC and the Xbox version on hard mode. I’m currently in the PC version… on legendary on the third mission where you rescue Keyes….. yeah, I quite… wasted enough time…

Yes, you're a little less than halfway through the game if I'm thinking of the right place. Are you playing the PC or X-Box version? If you have the PC version, maybe we can play sometime. :)

There are a couple places where you can skip ahead in Halo. (Though You DONT skip REALLY far). When you are making you way though the canyon, back and forth over the bridges, you will actualy end up down in the canyon later on.
There is one part where you open the door to a bridge (its more like a natural bridge) and you see this guy running to his Banshee in the distance. If you time it just right you can pick him off with a Sniper Rifle before he gets in. No one else will get in the Banshee and you can just grab it and fly your way to the end of the canyon.^^
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I've gotten the Banshee before, kept retrying that spot because I'd get myself wiped out by the aliens on the stone bridge. Got real good at laying down a nice explosion from the doorway to overturn the banshees and throw the pilots from the bridge....

Then when I went back and plaed it later on hard I couldn't repeat it, bummer.

The only thing that stinks is that you can actualy damage the Banshee if you are not careful. Nothing is worse then finaly getting it, but its so rittled with bullet holes that one shot from a luck Covanant and down you go, Banshee and all.

There is another bridge like that near the end of the canyon that you can actual jump from and live. You have to land on the thin peice of structure that leads up the face at the end of the canyon. All you should lose from the fall is your sheilds (if done correctly), but you dont really skip much here either. But you can get the drop on some unsuspecting Covanant, since they are gathered on by the door you "should" come out of.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

Ok, Ok, so I like Halo.
I just wanted to add somthing else. There is actualy an opertunity to snag a banshee in one of the first levels. I know this works on the easiest setting, as the covinant are just bone heads, I have not tried it on subsiquent difficulties.
Once you crash your escape pod on the halo shaped world-thingy, grab the items laying around and hoof it across the bridge. Pull out your pistol and pop the guys on the other side from you. But dont continue forward yet. Some Banshees show up to cause check out your crash and start shooting at you.
If you get up against the cliff the boneheads, in an atempt to get to you, will ocasionaly crash into the cliff causing them to fall down to ground level.
Be patiant, as this can take a little bit.
But when it happens, have your pistol ready, get behind the Banshee and you should be able to see the piolets legs hanging out, pop him several times (as shooting in the leg does little damage), he should fall out and PRESTO, your very own Banshee. You may have to do this a couple times to get it right.

Good luck, and remember, flying a Banshee is a privilege, not a right!!!

I know absolutely nothing about this stuff, but my little brother is obsessed and has insisted I put up a small comment for him. -_-
