Ever been persecuted for making a sandwhich?

Postby Mr. SmartyPants » Mon Jul 18, 2005 5:58 pm

So here I was! Reading The Half-Blooded Price, which I bought yesterday! 15 bucks at Wal-Mart woohoo! All the sudden... WHAM! HUNGER STRIKES! I resolve to myself "Hmmm, when one is hungry. They usually eat food! It makes sense! It is so LOGICAL! HOW COULD I OF NOT THOUGHT THAT SOONER"

So I go downstairs... and check the fridge.

NOTHING! Cept some bread

The Freezer

NOTHING! Cept some frozen Ham

The Fridge... again.

NOTHING! Cept some juice, the bread I mentioned, and some cheese!

So I thought to myself:
Ham + Bread + Cheese = Ham and Cheese Sandwhich

And then!
Ham and Cheese Sandwhich + Oven = TOASTED Ham and Cheese Sandwhich

It made PERFECT SENSE! So awesome! I love toasted sandwhiches. So I put the ham in the microwave and set it on "defrost" and waited that it was done, Got 6 slices of bread out (I was making 3 sandwhiches, so I could save them and eat them later when I get hungry again)... All of the sudden... SHE! HER! YES HER! She comes downstairs... and with that.... TERRIFYING Asian face... with the chinky eyes. Looks at me and yells at me "What Will Dennis (Her 6 year old son) eat for lunch tomorrow?" (shes 35 so she has a child, but for some reason lives with us)

I tell her "Well, I'm hungry too! What, you going to let me starve?" THEN She goes "Get your parents to buy you food" And I go "My parents WORK all the time" And she goes "I don't care"... I tell her "Psh, you never care" and then I put my sandwhiches in the oven...

Well.... yeah shes mean. And the sandwhiches? They didn't taste too good, i ate like 1 and a half, and threw the rest away.

Well I was feeling hungry again (around 8:40 now) And... I was getting some bread (seriously, thats ALL we have) and my cousin runs downstairs going like "NOOOO THATS FOR DENNIS" I tell her "There's still a lot left, plus the end peices!" And she's like "NO! HE'LL FEEL EMBARASSED" Which... meh I guess ill give her that much... I could tell she was feeling very annoyed at me. Because of something so trivial however. She starts going like "Ask your parents" I say "They are busy"... well i'll put it in conversation format

(please note that the whole time my tone of voice was very calm, while hers was not)
Her:"Ask your dad to buy groceries"
Me: "They WORK! And are busy! The work twice as long as you per day okay?"
Her: "I wake up at 6, and work till 3!"
Me: "They start around 10, and come home around 1 AM!"
Her: "HEY! DON'T TALK BACK TO ME"
Me: "I'm not"
Her: "youre doing it now"
Me: "What, so you're saying I should just stay quiet?"
Her: "STOP TALKING BACK"

In my view, she lost. The reason WHY she told me to stop talking back (as in, don't talk PERIOD) was because she realized her mistake in her argument, and automatically, with her "older-than-you" powers, wanted me to shut up.... well me being 16, and her being 35. I pretty much had to... so meh...

That peanut butter and jelly sandwhich was pretty good though

oof, thats kind of rough. I would ask your parents to either buy some food, or talk to her, cause it seems like you got some issues going on over there. Or, you could get a job, but your own food and yell at dennis when he tries to eat it.

We can only get 1 entry, 1 Drink, and one "Fun" snack for lunch at summer school.

and the lunchladys are NINJAS! They know when you took TWO ENTRYs.

But never take more than one drink, or else they'll refer you @_@

Very interesting situation you've got there.

I think I've only been slightly persecuted over a sandwitch once. But I've been persecuted many times over coffee and how I drink it too much. I've been drinking coffee since I was 5 years old. Major addiction.

I've only ever been presecuted because I enjoy my sandwhiches to be more salad between slices of bread then then anything else.

I don't get a lot of persecution for my sandwiches, but I do experience discrimination on a regular basis.

You see, I like my sandwiches a certain way; specifically, I almost always like them plain, or with only one or two things on them. I don't like mustard (especially mustard), cheese, mayonnaise, relish, tomatoes, onions, or any other weird thing on my sandwiches. Unfortunately most people either cannot understand or refuse to care about this when I try to get a sandwich.

For those that don't know, if you ask for a sandwich "plain" at a fast food restaurant, they will still leave the cheese on it. If you ask for no cheese, they leave everything else. If you ask for it to be plain and no cheese, they will get your order correct about 50% of the time.

Apparently the default assumption for most people is that cheese is suppposed to go on a hamburger. This wouldn't be a big deal if cheese didn't have the peculiar tendency of melting into a disgusting, unremovable paste when placed on a burger. I hate this.

Has anyone else experienced sandwich discrimination?
