Review Ha, ha, this is my first review, so bear with me.

I personally really loved Ah! My Goddess because it was funny and sweet, and the main characters are so pure. The focus is true love, and I highly recommend it!

Violence/Gore Notes:
Not really much that I'd worry about. Though people sometimes get blown out of the sky by random things, it's mostly exaggerated and for comic effect. No gore.

Nudity Notes:
One of the things some people may take some issue with. Belldandy is very modest, but Urd's (another primary character) clothing is almost always not. Her normal "goddess" outfit has a nice-sized slit down the middle, and her personality is a lot more amorous than the other characters. However, for some reason, I never got serious fanservice vibes like I do with most other fanservice. Maybe it's because I found that the clothing styles in different characters reflect their personalities' extreme differences. The proportions aren't over-exaggerated either, except maybe in Keiichi's case, lol. There are a few swimming episodes, so there are a few bikinis. Also, there are a notable amount of moments where people aren't wearing any clothes (they're covered to a point where there's nothing inappropiate showing) and they walk in on each other.

Sexual Content Notes:
Again, with nudity, something people may take issue with. There are quite a few randomly thrown in sexual references, but no actual sex. But again, I for some reason didn't get thrown off by it like normal. People make joking comments, people shove Keiichi onto Belldandy, and people are often in hard-to-explain situations. Let's just say that Belldandy has to be very trusting of Keiichi at many times. Urd, though she does care a lot for her sister, does often push for Keiichi to make a move on Belldandy. Not really a show for someone who's super-sensitive to that kind of stuff. But also, let it be noted that Keiichi is really afraid of confessing his love to Belldandy, much less even kissing her.

Theological Notes:
Well, there are obviously goddesses in an anime titled Ah! My Goddess, though they are by no means all-powerful beings. They use some minor magic, but it's not used in a Satanic way. Heaven's really more of a system that the goddesses use to grant wishes effectively. There's one known as "God," but he's not really that major of a character, he kind of just exists and watches everything. The thing that could really be an issue to some is the antagonistic "demons," one of which is a fairly recurring character. They are basically the natural enemies of the goddesses. They aren't really like real demons though, as their goal is to inconvinience humans and goddesses rather than to drag people's souls to hell. I probably explained that terribly, and it's really not that huge of an issue, in my opinion. But I also don't generally tend to care about nonexistent beings.

Other Themes Notes:
There may be swearing (I really don't remember at all), but if there was, it was mild. Some characters get drunk for comic effect, but it's not shown as good or beneficial.

Dub vs Sub:
I just watched the dub, so my content is based off of that.

Anyway, that was probably terrible, and I most likely missed a lot. Regardless, enjoy! The plot really reflects trust and loyalty in a relationship, and it's really sweet. Again, I highly recommend it!

Review Black Cat was my first anime, and therefore I'm probably a little biased towards it, but I'll do my best.

The series centers around a former assassin, Train Heartnet, aka XIII of Chronos. After meeting a strange sweeper (bounty hunter) named Saya, Train eventually adapts a new way of life and thinking and parts from his killing ways. Along the way he meets Sven, a true gentleman who's actually in his late 20's despite his looks, and Eve, a young girl who's actually a nanotech experiment. The three become a team and go off on their merry way and catch bounties, not that they end up with much money after Train eats.

The art gets a little creative and weird with colors and angles sometimes, which makes you wonder if your screen is broken. Thankfully, those scenes generally don't last too long.

As far as bad content is concerned, there's a little of everything, but not huge amounts of anything. I watched it with my 9-year-old brother, and I'd consider it PG-range.

Violence - There are many fights, and a little blood, nothing excessive. Guns, swords, suitcases, and scarves are among the weapons. One particularly sad death. Train sometimes has flashbacks from childhood when he first started to kill.

Nudity/Sexual Content - Rinslet isn't exactly modest in her clothing choice, and at one point she wears a dress with a slit down the middle going past her chest. Rapists are mentioned as bounty targets, and they make a couple innappropriate remarks. There is one cross-dressing incident (a man dressing up as bait for a bounty, not for other reasons), and a transvestite tackles him in the alley. Purely for comedic purposes, and it lasts just a few seconds. Creed is... obsessed with Train (both guys)and walks around with way too many roses, but he's more interested in Train's abilities than anything else. Train is also totally not interested.

Theological - There is a group of antagonists called "Taoists" who use the power of Tao and their "ki" to enhance special abilities. So-called "spirit water" causes the abilities to appear. It's not explored much.

Problematic Themes - Sven smokes. Minor swearing, d***, a**, and h***, one use of b****. Once in a while, there's a drunk person staggering around and commenting like an idiot.

The anime is pretty loosely based off the manga. In the anime Sven and Eve meet Train while he's still an assassin, whereas in the manga the story starts after Train becomes a sweeper and they're all together. Personally, I like seeing Train all dark and assassiny with Saya and watching him change.

Sub/Dub - I fully watched the dubbed and parts of the sub, and they both seem fine to me. Jason Liebriecht (Train) has an awesome voice. The only major preference I have is with Saya's song, which is a million times better in English, in my opinion.

Sadly, the ending is rushed, and it took away from the story. I'd say if you want to watch something semi-serious, but not too serious, and with a bit of humor and romance, it's definitely worth a try!
