Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo Season 3 (live action version of the mystery manga)

I've read a number of the Kindaichi Case Files manga (the bilingual versions) and enjoyed them very much. Unfortuantely I don't know that they are going to translate any more.
Anyway I found a live-action series of it on Youtube.com

Here's part one of the first episode:

I found it very enjoyable. The series is mystery/crime with thriller elements. Its fairly light-hearted for what it is. The actor who plays young Kindaichi is quite the bishie (for the ladies), but not all that great an actor. There are instances of humour, but Hajime Kindaichi is much more of a rebel in the manga (more dynamic). Anyway, a good series so far (the credits are especially well done).

Enjoy and discuss!

Yep! Kindaichi rocks! Oh, I forgot to mention, this series has English subtitles (but strangely the Japanese dvds don't).

The episodes are translated by Pacific Tristar. Anyone know who they are? Fansubbers or the real deal?

Episodes 4 and 5 are definetly the best so far.

Oooh. I love the manga. I need to order volumes 4 and up though. There's rumors that they're going to stop translating to English? Sad day if that happens... T_T

The show looks like fun, I'll have to watch it when I have time this weekend.

Sorry, I didn't clarify that right.
The bilingual versions of the Kindaichi manga are no longer being produced/translated (they look superior), but I believe the TokyoPop ones are still going to be made. But I have the bilingual ones and have no clue what title I'm upto, in reference to the TokyoPop ones (especially since the bilingual ones have a title spread between two volumes).
