I would have never thought of them as superheros - more cartoons, but that's cool.

Mine would be:

- Xavier
- Batman
- Rogue
- Spider-man

1. Kyle Rayner/Green Lantern

2. Spider-man... especially post-Other. What can I say, I really dig the shiny new costume.

3. Superboy post-2001, once they ditched the stupid leather jacket and just gave him a black T and jeans.

4. Nightcrawler

5. Kitty Pryde

6. Captain Marvel, aka Shazam!

7. The Fantastic Four-- I speak of them collectively; I tend to think of them all as one organism.

heh has anyone heard the Hillsong's Kid's song "Superhero?" It's all like "Jesus you're my superhero, you're my star, my best friend" then names all these superheros he's better then, and I thought it was just me making it up, but it really does say in the song "Better than YuGiOh!" Heh guess even in Aussie shows it had quite the popularity if it were to make it into a song like that^^

I'm feeling the Kyle Rayner love here. Not the glut of rabid Jordan fanboys I sometimes see. This makes me happy.

Batman
Why: He's the dang Batman, that's why. He doesn't have any powers. He didn't get fantastic abilities dropped into his lap. He worked his tail off for years to become the legend he is now, and uses his intellect and training to win.

Viewtiful Joe
Okay, so Joe did get his powers dropped into his lap ~ or strapped onto his wrist as it were. But a cheeseburger-loving costumed crusader whose signature line is "Henshin-a-go-go, baby!" is just plain fun. He's this goofy everyman who became a hero. He's cool.

Gambit
There is just something very, very right about a wild-haired thief who wears a trenchcoat, wields a bo staff, and uses playing cards as lethal weaponry. I want to cosplay him someday. : : eyes weight set : :

Colossus
He's this gentle Russian artist who only fights to protect others and can transform into nigh-invulnerable living metal. Again, there is something very, very right about him.

I didn't really think V was all that heroic.

Spaceman Spiff
Batman
Gambit
Wolverine
Cable
Ghost Rider
Shadowcat
Rogue
Captain America
Union Jack
Spiderman

Darkwing Duck! I barely remember that show, but I know I used to love it.

That's all I can think of at the moment, but I know I'm missing someone.

Never read Vendetta, but I'm not sure The Crow counts as a superhero. He wasn't specifically out to save or protect anyone; his mission was more based on single-minded revenge, and when it was over, he went back to the grave.

Well to be honest, I thought it was pretty lame that the thread was limited to heroes only. Thus I tossed The Crow in. I don't really think of the Crow as a hero either.

Although keeping up a life in the limelight has its own share of headaches. You have to keep up a public image AND fight crime, whereas Peter Parker is nobody to the world at large. It's a trade-off.
