Ok since people are wondering what it is I had surgery for the name of what I had removed is called a thyroglossal duct cyst.Basically it's a long
medical term that means I was one of those people who's thyroid gland didn't close properly when they were born.Mostly they manage to catch the problem when a person is still a child and it's rather rare for anyone over
20 to have it.Although from what I learned on the internet you can have it and not know about it for years and even decades.Apparently I must have had some sort of infection which brought it out.The cyst they removed was the size of a walnut.
Instead of stitches they stapled the flap on the throat they took the cyst out together.
I also have a drain in the throat which makes it hard to swallow anything hard.So no burgers and fries for awhile folks,at least for me.On the plus side I did notice I lost some weight.
