Hmmm... overated stuff...

Neon Genesis Evangelion. (Yeah, I know it's what we shouldn't disscuss... but I got it that it's okay to make a passing mention, just so long as this doesn't turn into an NGE topic). Yeah, I liked it. Yeah, I thought it was good. Did I think it lived up to the hype it has in anime circles? Nope.

Being Social. I'm a loner. Why do people think there's something wrong with me for that? Okay, so I am crazy and sad, but.. you know, it's BECAUSE of people I'm that way most of the time, not my lack of contact with them. (I saw a book at the bookstore today... "Party of One" by Annili...something. It was expensive for me at the moment, so I didn't get it.. but I want that book so bad... It's in praise of loners... like me!)

Reality TV. Except for certain shows dealing with historical things (PBS' "1900s House" and "Frontier House", and this thing on the Discovery Channel dealing with people training to become Medieval knights)... I find it... annoying. Most of the people on most of the shows out there... are more fake than people in fictional shows. Plus... gah.. no creativity. It seems *easy* to make a "reality show"... put a bunch of people into a crazy situation... easier than paying writers to create original plotlines. Gah.

Milk Chocolate. I like Dark Chocolate..... it's richer to me, not overly sweet... or something. More pure...richer.... bolder flavor.

Television is overrated. I'd rather be online than watch TV most times. (Although lately I've been watching a lot of Law and Order...) Why? Because most of what's on, I've seen, or don't want to see.

Reality TV is a joke.

Sitcoms are a joke. (No pun intended.)

Also, awards shows are overrated. I don't give a flying fiddlestick who won the Academy Award. I find myself wanting to blow up the Academy (where ever it is) anytime I watch those stupid things...also, the Grammys make me lose more and more faith in music...

Actors are overrated. (Except for maybe one or two.) Why do they get paid so much money to play pretend all day? And like I'm gonna listen to some actor about world issues. e___e

High school. Yes folks, high school is overrated. Everyone says in junior high "oh high school won't be this nice to you" but my school treats us like a big elementary school and refuse to listen to any voice but their own. And all the social drama and stress and all is just bleh. Oh, and when you get to be a senior, you can realize your life has no direction in it yet and you're scared out of your socks to go to college. Woo.

Personally I think Ninendo isn't overrated but thats me. Even if it is, Gameboy's and Gamecubes can suvive falling out of the back of a speeding car.

The UK is overrated. I dunno what it is with all these Americans wanting to come here. Here are some reasons to dissuade you.

1) The climate is lousy. Tepid would be the right word - it rains all the time, but there aren't any good thunderstorms. In winter, it's usually cold and drizzly, and we get little snow.

2) Things are more expensive over here.

3) Video games get released about 5 months after they come out in America. Some Japanese games make it to the states, but never find their way to the UK.

4) Anime is harder to find.

There are good things about the UK as well, but this is the overrated thread
