Which name?

Postby QtheQreater » Fri Sep 29, 2006 2:10 pm

Hey, my sister just got a kitten. It needs a name. AND WE'VE COME UP WITH TWO!

Background on cat: the thing's crazy. Black and white short hair, female, bundle of fun(and my sister says the kitty's also a bundle of pain, biting-wise).

VOTE NOW!

What would you call the cat for short? Fiddle? "Kay" (Cha-os)? I think Fiddlesticks is too long. How about Buyo? :thumb:
Eh, I think I'll go for Chaos, out of those choices.

Fiddlesticks seems like such a great name for a cat. Chaos would give her a few ideas, perhaps...

Yeah...for anyone who's ever read the Enchanted Forest Chronicles...that's where the names are from. I can't really decide which one...but I voted Chaos...Fiddlesticks is such a cool name, though(you know, if I were the one shortening Fiddlesticks...I'd say "Fido").

I think that you should call it Chaos Fiddlesticks.

Chaos...it just seems more interesting than Fiddlesticks, make the cat more of a character.

Yes, I like both. Chaos (insert middle name) Fiddlesticks. Actually, 'Chaos' might make a better middle name...hmm. Well, if I had to pick just one, Chaos. One of my co-workers has 'chaos' tattoed on his arm. Maybe it's a sign?

Chaos. Your new kitty sounds like my sister's kitty(even the same colors!) and if she is anything like my sister's kitty, you won't regret naming her Chaos.

In all honesty. Chaos sounds REALLY REALLY bad and not cute at all. I would never name any animal "chaos". It doesn't have a ring at all.

The cat is cute(what I can see out of my sisters avatar, anyways) but it's psychotic. Maybe "Havoc" would have been better, but we were picking names out of a specific novel. But REALLY REALLY bad? Come on, seriously, MSP?

I couldn't vote for either, since chaos has to much of an evil ring to it & fiddlesticks though quite creative, will be shortened to an odd nickname. Trust me we have 2 cats now & had numerous pets before. Short names are a lot easier.

Might I suggest "No No", I'm sure the kitten will hear this quite frequently regarding the bitting, etc.

Chaos, because it's the shorter of the two. Having had lots of kitties in my life, short names are easier.

Definately Chaos, how can you be angry with a pet named Fiddlesticks? What are you going to do when he chews on the plants or sharpens his claws on your bedspread? Most importantly, what if he gets lost in the neighborhood? Can you imagine yourself standing in the middle of the street yelling, "FIDDLESTICKS!!" at the top of your lungs? At least if you were yelling "CHAOS!!", it would be only marginally as bad.

Chaos. Why? Because Fiddlesticks takes too long to say. "Chaos, get out" just works better than "Fiddlesticks, get out".
But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith-- that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.

Yes. It is really really bad XD. It does NOT have a "pets name" ring to it. It's not like:

Fluffy
FiddleSticks
Rufus

etc etc whatever whatever. Havoc is better, But not Chaos XD And I like fiddlesticks the most.

Hey, if the cat were mine it'd end up with some silly name like Fizz, Sprite, Stripes, Socks, Shoes, you get the picture...

I even have a rabbit named Spud...

But this is my sister's decision. She names critters different than I do.

Out of the two, I think Chaos is much better- plus it fits the description of the cat better. Fiddlesticks doesn't really sound like a cat's name.
