Surviving My First Con (Pictures!)

Just got back from AWA today, and I've got to say... it was great. =D

Me and three friends drove up their together: two guys and a girl (she and I were the only ones of the four to cosplay; she Sakura, me Luffy). Upon enterting the (MASSIVE) lobby, we soon discovered, after taking a picture of our Sakura and a Zabuza, that thanks to the glass cieling, flash was not required on the cameras (which totally killed one of our photos X_x ).

Anyhoo, we went to get our badges, but one of the guys hadn't preordered and had to wait in line. So after the three of us got our badges, we just stood to the side and waited, when all of a sudden I head someone shout "Luffy!" as two girls (a catgirl and some other costumed girl) suddenly, how should we say... "glomp" me. 15 minutes in, and I'm the one getting glomped (and I'm betting the friend in line would have been jealous as he came mainly for the girls XD )?

Anyhoo, we wandered around the art dealers' area and Dealer's room to till more of the vendor's and such showed up, and typically just hung out and checked out the costumes.

In all, I bought the least: one (AWESOME) Luffy fanart print (for $12 instead of the usual $15 =D ) and three Japanese One Piece manga (a bit cheaper, so I couldn't pass it up).

At one point, I even had a photoshoot with other One Piece cosplayers ,which was great fun. I even got to meet a fellow CAA member, Wingzero22! =D

I'll definetly be going next year. But now, to the stuff you people even bothered to click this thread for: the pictures:

Oh my gosh, the Colonel cosplay is awesome! XD The FF cosplays are good, though I would prefer that Rikku's cosplayer had chosen FFX's outfit, rather than X-2's. o_o Anyways, those are all really good!

Man, if/when I go to America, I will definitely have to time my visit so I can catch a con.
Wish I was there, man! Some of those costumes were amazing... and lol, the pikachu car! XD Though I have to say that my favourite must've been the piranha plant: I so love those things. ^_^ Very cool to have a whole OP group to take a photoshoot with. ^_^

I feel that this was the best AWA con that I have ever been to.

Getting to talk to Luci Christian and getting a hug from her.

Taking to Monica Rial

Getting to go to a dinner party with Travis Willingham and talking and joking with him.

Going to the chruch service that Vic Mignogna put on and getting to have a nice talk with others that are christains.
