Someone mentioned Record of Lodoss War...I've found the two-disc OVA for around $45, and the four-disc TV series for $30. O_o;;

There's the Giant Robo economy pack, with the entire OVA series PLUS the Ginrei Special (4 discs total) for only $20. $20. If I hadn't owned it already I would have bought it all over again.

Oh, and the Trigun boxsets are about 60$ a pop. Grr.

Thinpaks of Kino's Journey and Requiem for the Darkness are going for about 30 bucks, and I think Hellsing is going for about $40-$50.

Used or new? I found the 4-disc series used for $30. I would have thought it'd be more if you got it new.

Anyway, like I've said before, look in Gamestop or EB. Those places have tons of cheap used anime.

Check out some of the ADV thin packs via Amazon.com

Usually, they sell for somewhere around 30-60 dollars off of the ADV site/in store, but on Amazon they can be as low as 20.00 (though I got the Excel Saga Thin Pack for 17.00!).
Usually they're very lightly used, or brand new and still in the factory wrapping.

Also, check some of the 'unloved-but-awesome' shows like Tiny Snowfairy Sugar. >D I love that, even if I feel too old for it.
