Christion Homeschool blogs.

I know that there is a fairly large population of home schoolers on this site so I thought that this might interest you. I recently read an article in Word magazine about home schoolers who keep blogs. The article gave five web sights and they are.

I'm homeschooled, and my mom keeps a blog about it. No, I'm not posting it... XD I don't like it, though. It's a little weird. o__o
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

Wow, they must type at around 200 words per minute to do that and still have time to... Well, do anything.
Come quietly to the camp
You'd look nice as a drawstring lamp
Don't you worry, it's only a shower
For your clothes here's a pretty flower.

(I know the people who write the Rebelution! ::NCFCA debater pride:: I remember when they first started - never would've expected that it'd evolve into a conference.)

I'm under the impression that home schoolers actually have a lot more free time than public school kids. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It's interesting to see the view of homeschooled kids in the form of blogs.

considering that 40% of class time is spent disciplining students, yeah we are a lot more efficient. i'd say over all i have quite a bit more free time then any of my public school friends. after all, i could spend a couple hours doing all my math for the week, and have the rest for free time. a lot of homeschoolers graduate a few semesters early. however, there is a homeschool curriculum called seton that basically doesn't let you have a life. you work through the summer; it's awful. but i guess you'd be pretty well prepared for like harvard or something. i'd rather have a life, or at least a summer.

I was not a good homeschooler. You have to learn to do it well at an early age, I think.

Impressed by homeschool teen blog

Postby knivesmominlaw » Mon Sep 25, 2006 9:48 pm

I checked out a couple of the teen blog links I found here and was particularly impressed with "agent tim". I'm a homeschool mom and know my kids aren't nearly as analytical about church and societal issues as "agent tim". Wow. God's really blessed him with talent and great parents, no doubt. I'm going to have my kids take a look at these links, as well. I know they will inspire some terrific discussions.
