I have only one thing to say........ Go Rice!!!!

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to a few of the games this week. Specifically

Notre Dame vs. Michigan (Should be a close one, but I look for ND to squeek out a win.)

Florida vs. Tennessee and....

Auburn vs. LSU

I have two upset picks this week. LSU over Auburn and TCU over Texas Tech. Texas falls six spots in the standings while ND shoots up two. And BC is finally in the top 25! They deserve it, especially after pulling out a win against No. 18 Clemson. Go Eagles!

Yes! And now I must point out that I was the only one who picked BC. *gloats* XD

This will be the first game that I get to see of WVU this year. I saw them a few times last year and love it when they beat UGA last year.

But a question. How is WVU passing game this year. I read in a few college preseason mags, that they would need to pass more. I agree that they need to pass more this year, because that would help them out. Since they are very run the ball last year and didn't pass the ball that much last year.

I just thought that I would help out on what games will be on TV. I was going to try to put the TV listings up for last week games, but I couldn't find the webpage that shows all of the TV listings.

All games are listings in EST.

Well...I'll put it this way...Pat White has improved quite a bit as a quaterback. His only touchdowns this year are from passing not running. He has also been incredibly accurate and his recievers are pretty good. Also, Steve Slaton has supposedly improved at catching passes and Owen Schmidt...is Owen Schimdt The only problem is WVU has historically (well...since Neihlen was coaching) been a running football team. And, to be quite honest, when your line is able to open holes for a running back that can put up 204 yards on the champion of a conference that is known for their defenses...I would run more then passing myself. I honestly don't know if any of the defenses WVU will face will be able to stop Steve Slaton, Pat White, and Owen Schmidt on the ground. But if they do, I honestly think they will have just as much trouble stopping WVU's passing game. This really isn't the same WVU team of a couple years ago who really had no passing game outside of Chris Henry. Now they have two relatively talented recievers and their backs involved in the passing game. They can throw the ball, and I think they have shown they can throw it well...I think they can win through the air if they have to...but I don't know of any teams' (who they play) defenses that can force them to rely only on their passing game...They are just too good running the ball...

I can't believe that Michigan beat ND....... that's just amazing! That makes two wrong, so far! My other was LSU vs. Auburn, where I picked LSU for an upseat...... it didn't happen. At least my other upseat, TCU is winning! So's FSU! Go FSU!!

O.O

Did.... Did I just say, "Go FSU!"???? but....but.... I'M A GATOR FAN!!! *Washes his mouth out with soap.* Bad Otaku! Bad Otaku!! Oh well, at least the Gators are winning too.

Edit: Crap, Interception. Followed by a long pass?!?! Come on Gators!!! It's 7-0, Gators but Tennessee is driving.

Double Edit: Okay, they came away with only a field goal. Good stop guys!

Edit Three: Oh boy, This is not going to end well. Gators are losing to Tennessee, 10-7 and FSU is losing to Clemson..... 20-9?!?!?! THIS IS SO WRONG!!!!

Edito Cuatro: I expect BC to move up in the BCS again. They beat BYU and that makes them 4-0. Though it might not be much, they had to go to Double OT to do it. I still expect them to move up, probably 1 or 2 spots.

Edit Fivealicious: WHY, FLORIDA!!!!! This isn't going well. 17-7, Tennessee winning. Florida's missed two field goals and has been making stupid mistakes all game long. Examples, field goals, penalties, etc. etc. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!! GRAH!!!! ANOTHER PENALTY!!!! *starts to hit his head on his keyboard.*

Edit Sixy: Yeah, Florida's still in this!! Beautiful touchdown pass!!! 17-14.
By the way, does anyone else feel like I'm being one of thos box scores on the internet? Only more biased? Cause I do.

Edit Seven: Wooo!!!! Florida's winning!!!! 21-20, WAHOO!!! Came back with two touchdowns!!! Unfortunately FSU lost, never thought I would be remotly sad about saying that.

Final Edit: FLORIDA WINS!! FLORIDA WINS!! WOOOOO!!!!!!! Very good game between both teams. Florida has a lot of issues to address on offense and defense, mainly all the penalties. But for now, I'm just glad they won!

Alright...I am officially frightened about November 2. Why? Because WVU's defense seems to have the discipline of a two year old...if they play like they did against Maryland...then I can kiss my dream of WVU winning a national championship (or even playing for one) goodbye...and it doesn't help that Louisville's offense seems to have not been effected at all by the loss of Michael Bush...

And to think it could have been Tenn 27 and Fla 21. I know that that Tennessee player somewhat got a hand on Leak to the head, but that one was a little iffy. But I feel that it was the right call, I guess.

Oh well, as long as Fla gets beat soon by other teams. I will be happy.

And I'm still trying understand why I pick LSU, when I said to someone that Auburn would win. O_O

I must have not been look when I did that pick.

When I saw that Oregon was behind 33-20 yesterday I was pretty sure they had lost, then they made a wild come back and won it.Both Washington schools also won their games.Fresno State pretty much gave the Huskies a literal run for their money. They're going to have to work more on their run defense. Can't allow teams to run on them the way FS did yesterday.

The Oregon game was amazing...that's really all I can say. As for the Huskies, well, I hope they get some run defense...it would be nice to see them in a bowl game this year. I sadly didn't even know the results of that game (nor did I know who Washington was playing...)seeing as how I found my self in freaking out about Louisville blowing out Miami and all those wonderful penalties WVU racked up in their Thursday night game against Maryland...Oh and on a side note, this weeks pick set is up.

So...adding to my list of reasons to freak out...I just found out that Steve Slaton supposedly has a fracture in his right wrist...Now the good news is that he has supposedly had this injury since the beginning of the season, and seeing as how he has already racked up about 500 yards and 5 touchdowns...I really don't think he'll end up missing any games...and if he does...well...let's just hope that one of the other WVU backs steps up to fill his shows for however long he is out...

I have been a Wash Huskies fan for a long time, but I just don't see them getting any better under Tyrone Willingham. I think they have a few good years but they will never be as good as the early 90's Huskies teams under Willingham.

Eh...you never know...I've been a WVU fan for most of my life (all 17 years of it...well...at least the years in which I knew what football was and knew who the Mountaineers were...). And after Nehlen retired I really didn't think that Rodriguez would ever be able to step out of his shadow (which was quite large in my opinion). After winning the Sugar Bowl, my opinion has obviously changed. I'm not saying the same will happen in Washington, but you never know.

Well, that is true. But look where Tyrone Willingham coach at, before he came to Wash? He coach at Stanford first and then Notre Dame.

1995 Stanford 7-4-1 (went to the Liberty Bowl)
1996 Stanford 7-5 (went to the Sun Bowl)
1997 Stanford 5-6
1998 Stanford 3-8
1999 Stanford 8-4 (went to the Rose Bowl)
2000 Stanford 5-6
2001 Stanford 9-3 (went to the Seattle Bowl)
2002 Notre Dame 10-3 (went to the Gator Bowl)
2003 Notre Dame 5-7
2004 Notre Dame 6-5 (went to the Insight bowl)
2005 Washington 2-9

He has only got one team into a big major bowl game since he has been starting his coaching career.

His career win-lose record is 67 wins- 60 losts and 1 tie.

The players that are on mostly on the Notre Dame team were players that Willingham from 2002 and 2004 team are ones that are still at Notre Dame.

That tells you someting there.

BTW: I know that I said that I'm a Wash fan. I do need to clear something up. I am since like the middle 80's, but Tennessee Vols is the team that I was born and rise up into.

Well yesterday the Huskies were able to turn around and come from behind to beat the Bruins 29-19.It was one of those games that was pretty much a shocker the way things ended since UCLA looked like they were just going to walk all over
the Dawgs the way they started. It's something they needed to get their confidence going, especially since it's been several years since they last beat UCLA.
On the other side of things it looks like UCLA needs a bit of work the way they broke down in the second half.

ECU was 1-2 before they played WVU and no, WVU doesn't play VT this year...its one of the sad things that has come about since VT has left the Big East. And in other Big East related news, Rutgers is ranked. Now I know they have been good in recent years but I am still quite suprised. You see, when I was a kid, Rutgers was the second worst team in the Big East (which isn't saying much seeing as how the only team worst then them was Temple...and well...yeah...they're Temple...), so I'm use to them being horrible...and now they are good...and Syracuse is really bad...so yeah...the new Big East is different...

Ah, pooh. I wasn't sure if VT played them or not and I would like to see VT play WVU. So, last year winner got the bowl of coal untill they play again or whatever that thing is that they play for.

So, Louisville is the only time that could beat WVU this year.

Man, what happened to TCU Thursday night? They were looking pretty good through the whole year, but then they end up losing to BYU (That's Baylor, right?). They may just drop out of the top 25 because of that.

Also Boston College has dropped from the 25 too. Unfortunately their playing Maine University today, which isn't going to help their standings too much. I hope they get back in soon. C'mon Eagles!

Finally, Florida is losing 10-7 at this moment. Of course, the same thing happened last week at Tennessee, so I'm still holding out hope for a miracle win.

Edit: As soon as I finished posting this Florida scored a touchdown..... Wow. Let's go Gators! 14-10, keep the lead!

The Dawgs have actually won more than they did the entire season last year.So we suddenly find the U-Dub tied for second place in the Pac 10 with Cal whilst
Oregon and USC are tied for first.Who's a thunk the Ducks would be this great a team?
