DRIVER'S LICENSE. *o*/

Postby Radical Dreamer » Fri Aug 11, 2006 8:58 am

Yes. I did indeed get my driver's license today. XD After two failures, the third try proved itself to be the charm after all. XD So I'm really excited!! :jump: And we got in and out of the DMV really fast too, which was good, since I have a job interview in one hour from now (12:00PM). I'm really, really glad that I finally got it, though!! :D

Congrats. I had my retricted permit for almost a year now and have yet to do much substantial practice...T.T...

I can already forsee the trouble I'll face when I finally decide to head to the DMV for my license.

I must use your DMV! >.< I want fastness. I don't care if I have to go twenty states over. ^.^;

I'm so scared to send in for my drivers test! I'm afraid I'll fail(not cause I'm a bad driver, but everyone seems to fail their first time). But congrats on getting yours XD

I just turned 19 and I still don't have my license. Had my learner's permit for almost three years. I have no place I need to go, so I never bothered. I'll get to it before my permit comes up for renewal again in October.

I'm 16 and all my friends and family keep telling me to GET A LICENSE!

I don't want to because if I do, it's totally gonna be hard to still act like a kid XD and my parents want me to drive them places @.@...payback they say....
The cool thing is I get a new car, but I just don't feel like I need to drive or want to put that extra car-payment money deal on them.

CONGRATULATIONS! Someday I'll get there.

Yeah, I kinda felt the same way. XD My friend's younger brother was just about to get his license, and my friend was like, "You HAVE to get your license before he does!" But the thing is, I really had no motivation for it for the longest time. I mean, my friends would play sports and have to drive themselves home from late practices etc., but I didn't have to do anything like that. So yeah, I went for a long time without a license, but look at it on the bright side...If you wait 'til you're 17 (in my state, at least), you don't have to have rules about not driving after 6PM! XD

Hey RD, it took me 3 tries when I did my road test too! I failed because I didn't stop at the red lights and went over the speed limit the first two times. But I am a safe driver now. :)

I assume this was a practical 'on road' test? In my state we can choose to do the full test, or check off smaller competencies from a log book (aka. log book method). You get the 30 (I think) tasks checked off, then you can get your licence.

So you mean you guys can get the licence by bits? Man, that ain't fair. We have to do an on road test in one go, and things such as speeding and failing to stop at red lights are immediate fail items (well, naturally).

'Get licence in bits'... Hey, I've got 19/30 of a licence now! XD

It's not really thought of in those terms... you only get the licence when you finish all of them.
