We have a thread about it going on in the anime forum, though no one's asked to post a full review on it just yet.

Full metal panic (Not a Review

Postby Chapel » Sat Jan 31, 2004 9:31 am

To any one who ventures here looking for a description of this anime I have both the mnaga and the anime. Both are good. THe guys who made it Gatou and Tateo origanlly dip Manga drama books so this was a totally new feild for them. Cute highschooler who finds out she is actually the holder of some ancient technology and so two militarys are after her one good, one bad. One is protecting her, one is chasing her. THe funny comes with the overly milateristic Sosuke always over compensating normal situations to protect Chidori. Leading to all kinds of messed up antics. Its like Real bout highschool meets a mix of gundam and silent mobious. Storry gets more intense with the secound graphic novel and so far thats all thats come out for it so far. If you would like a sneak peak one of the last Newtype USA had a promo disk for FMP and the manga inside it. Other than that I have seen nothing so far aside from a very little bit of fan service, some intresting violence, mostly mechs. So don't steer to far away from this it is a funny yet dramatic series. I recomend it I like it anyway.

It will be put into our reviews database and then I'll link it back here. As soon as the last dvd is out, I'll buy it, watch it, and then sit down to write a review. Don't get too excited about the series though ... :eyeroll:
