Vamp VS Lycan!!

Vamp VS Lycan!!

Postby faithfighter » Sat Jul 29, 2006 10:49 pm

Ok so based off the two threads on the topic. I wanted to see how this works out.
which is better??

personally I have to go with both rock.
Lycan's or werewolvs are kewl because frankly wolvs jsut rock solid! but there is so little about them movie wise...that actually lives up to thier kewlness potentual.

On the other hand Vamps have that kewl sauve-ness about them that sets them apart from the other undead-lings. They are Counts. And could sweep yu off you feet,...before bitting your neck.

so which wins??

Go Team Lycanthropos!

It is my opinion that a Werewolf would win in a no-holds-barred brawl.

I votes for team Lycanvamps!

Was I the only one that was seriously underwhelmed by the Werewolf/Vamp hybrid in Underworld? I was hopin' for a hairy fangy hunched over bat winged thing O.O

I'd have to go with vampires, because vampires have undertaken the good labor of teaching kids how to count, and what contribution have Lycans made to children's education?

they've taught children the value of a good clean shave

i have to go with the werewolves, let's face it, the only thing that werewolves are vulnerable to is silver, while vamps gotta fear sunlight, holy water, garlic, etc. not to mention the fact that a werewolf can better adapt to various types of terrain, whereas a vampire can only live in places where there is a place where there is no sunlight, then there's the whole availability of nourishment factor, vamps would have to stick to big cities with lots of living people, but lycans can live off of anything a regular wolf can which means they can be free to roam anywhere they want to just about

.....man, kinda sounds like i've put a little too much thought into this, weird

Why must we be abandoned in times of need?
Do others not see when we yearn for their touch;
An insatiable hunger only they can feed.
Left alone with out their words – fallen into darkness.
Stumbling blindly without their light,
We fall and scream, knowing we've faced too much,
Knowing the only answer is flight.
Flight from the lives we once faced
And the joys and terrors others have brought.
Our time with them, a time of joy and life,
Wonder we all, was it for naught?

Haven't you seen the Nightmare Before Christmas? All it takes for vampires to go out in sunlight is a parasol. A clean shave for teenage years? Lol, that's exactly the point. Lycans tend to get into teenager style hysterical screaming bouts followed by massive carnage, they lack charm and manners, and they still haven't helped in children's education.

That depends on what lycans you're reading about or watching. One character, Karl Marsten, in the books by Kelley Armstrong is a lycan and is actually quite nice. He's elogant, a great socializer, charming to the ladys, downright nice. But then his job is being a theif and he doesn't treat other Lycans very nicely but he could easly live with humans with out casualty.

In the books by Stephan Cole, The Wereling, The main character (It's been ages since I've read these books so names elude me) is thrown into being a lycan and has control over it. He even befriends lycan haters. He has full control of his Lycan self and uses his Lycan senses and strenght for good.

Out of those two characters it proves that not all Lycans are the "Let's be friends! *rips out there throats when they're not looking*" type.

I vote for both. I really do enjoy both, although it's too bad that there aren't as many good lycan films/anime/manga/books/etc.

Well, apparently Frank Oz voiced Mr.Collins/Miss Piggy in An American Werewolf in London . . . and Frank Oz worked on The Muppets on Sesame Street with Jim Henson . . . okay, I admit it is a stretch from there to educating children. Hey, how about Scooby Doo and all those countless werewolf episodes????

Hmm.

Maybe I'll just vote for vampires.

I voted Vampire.I mean did you ever hear of a show called Buffy,The WEREWOLF
Slayer?
Spike,Angel,Dru were all cool in their way.Ok,so Dru was CRAZY in an insane no-one but Spike knew what she was saying kinda way,but still cool.
And if you ever saw the old Fox series Kindred:The Embraced it was revealed on that series that vampires could go out in the daylight if they had eaten enough blood.
Ok,so I can't get into Blade:The Series. But the point here is that there are a lot more shows centered around Vampires than Werewolves so there must be something about vamps that we all like to hate.

I had in mind the old trailer to I Was a Teenage Werewolf. I've got to wonder, if these old films were so incredibly scary back in their time, would today's horror fillms give the people of those days a heart attack?
