It looks like it's Thai.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Neil Postman
(The End of Education)

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge

Something from that part of Asia almost for sure. Perhaps Vietnamese, even?

True...I looked it up on Wikipedia and it looks like Thai more than anything, although it might be some Indian script.

(I'm embarrased-Vietnamese seem to use roman letters a lot anyway)

I'm pretty sure it's Thai since when I googled a letter/symbol it came up with some sites that said "Thai" in the URL.

I know for a fact it's Thai. As for any suggestion that it's viet, the vietnamese is written using roman characters with a very large number of specialized diacritics.

I could print it out and wear it around my neck as a neckthai. But if I went to transcribe it and missed a character, it might be a thaipo. I could use the printouts to thail my floor, and then go practice my thai-bo. But first I think I'd better thai up this post.
