Anyone know where to buy Miyazaki's movies for cheap?

Postby Warrior 4 Jesus » Sat Jul 22, 2006 7:55 am

I live in Australia and I've heard his movies are sometimes sold in boxsets. A church friend bought a Miyazaki boxset in Malayasia (strangely not pirated) and it looks so good. Only 110 Ringett!

Anyone to help?
Thanks!

Try JB Hi-Fi. They have a good selection, usually at fair prices. Ezy DVD may have some too, but they are often more expensive. I've tried Target, K-Mart, and Myer, but they seem to be Miyazaki-scarce.

You can also ask others at http://www.dvdplaza.com.au

I hope that helped.

Are you looking for Region 4 DVDs? You might try Ebay. I've had pretty good luck getting Joe Hisaishi CDs, DVDs and music from Ebay (especially from Singapore) at better prices than Amazon, etc.

If you're only looking for Region 4, then try Ebay or your local Amazon. I think that every region has its own version of Amazon.com, as I've used the amazon.co.jp <-- I don't think that's the right link! store before and had my Japanese friend ship me my stuff over.

^^; There's probably a lot of online sites out there. Just look around I guess.

Tried Half.com? You don't have to bid on the stuff and you can get things in either perfect or pretty good condition. Half.com is part of Ebay, just so you know...although, since you're in Australia, I'm not sure how easily you can get stuff shipped there...

Thanks. It's not hard but it isn't cheap. Shipping to Australia is unbelievably expensive.
