I was just wondering, has anyone ever purchased anything from http://www.animespectrum.com, more specifically soundtracks? They have a gigantic selection, like other sites such as animenation, however some of their sale prices are great. I was just wondering if anyone had purchased from them though because I wanted to know if there was any risk of them dealing with bootleg stuff at all. Other places such as animenation and rightstuf don't, but I'd never really heard of animespectrum until recently. Anyways, please let me know :-)

I would say that for import soundtracks, $7 or $14 is too good to be even remotely true. I've paid anywhere between $20-30 for legit imports. =/

That place is bootleg city, at least as far as the DVDs go. Soundtracks are not my area of expertise, but I don't expect they're any more authentic.

A quick look around the site revealed the following:

Most CD offer more then 20 tracks /disk

I'd say that is a good indication of bootlegs. Along with the far too good to be true pricing and the lack of label info found on the page itself (when you buy legitimate CDs online, they usually have this info on the page itself). I'd shy away if possible.

The anime music cds are bootlegs.

I look at some of them and just about everyone of them have a MF logo on them. I have never heard of MF label before.

Also, I look at the Wolf's Rain and Ghost in the Sheel: SAC soundtracks and Victor Entertainment of Japan is the manufactured and distributed of those cds and not MF.

The prices to just too cheap. As Kokoro Daisuke said about prices, legit imports cd's go from a range of $20 to $50.
