The Dark Void

First off, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever why I wrote this or where it came from. x.x I just start typing and this pops up in my mind. It's not exactly a poem, but more of a song I guess. I don't know. I think it turned out okay. What do you think? ^.^;

The Dark Void

Where am I…? What am I…? Who am I…?
My mind seems empty. I feel as though I’m falling. Falling into nothing. Yet not moving. It’s dark. No light. Calm and quiet. It’s nothing. And yet it is. Slowly spiraling. Trying to reach out. But nothing to reach.

Where am I…? What am I…? Who am I…?
These questions keep repeating. My body is changing. But what is my body? I see nothing. Hear nothing. Touch nothing. But I can feel it. The changes beginning. Trying to reach out. But nothing to reach.

Where am I…? What am I…? Who am I…?
Light. I see it and yet I cannot see. Can feel it yet cannot feel. Revealing nothing. Nothing but dark. Dark yet Light. Light and Dark. Merged together yet separated. Dark scatters and fades into the Light. Light scatters and fades into the Dark. Trying to reach out. But nothing to reach.

Where am I…? What am I…? Who am I…?
The sound of waves. Waves of darkness. A single drop of light. Falling. Ripples through the darkness. Darkness devours. I see it now. My body awakens. Yet still darkness abounds. I hear the waves. I feel the darkness. I see the shadows. I stand but fall. Falling still. Yet not moving. It’s dark. No light. Calm and quiet. It’s nothing. And yet it is. Slowly spiraling. Trying to reach out. But nothing to reach. I fall.. back into slumber...

It reminds me of some of the poems that I have written myself. I will admit, though, that the end took me off guard. I was not expecting it to be a description of sleep. That changed the way I heard the poem.

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€

Thanks for replying! ^.^ But, it's not about sleep. I know it sounds like it xD; . The "slumber" part is like a way of saying that the character isn't ready yet. That during this time of thought, the character calls it "slumber" when it's really an empty state of mind. It's supposed to be literal in some parts. like in the 3rd paragraph.
It's all confusing, I know. x.x Even I don't understand it. But it's not about sleep. I can assure you that. xD; But thanks for the reply! ^.^ and by the way, I'm not depressed or anything. I'm surprised this even came from my mind. @.@

Ooooooooh. Hmm. You might want to reword that last line or something.

Thanks for replying!
