don't listen to this person. Wavy hair is just as good (and in some ways better) than bone straight hair. Emo is out with the old... It's vastly over-rated. You see it in fashion magazines, not in real life. I guess my overall message is do whatever the heck you want to. I'm tired of these trite and over-abused standards: "if it's black, short and spikey is cute"? What the heck? It doesn't matter. You work your style, your style doesn't work you. Choose what you want and make it work for yourself. Forget what other people think, and say. I can't stand crap like that. As long as you don't pass for a girl, it's really all good.Kumagoro wrote:Depends on your hair color. If you have black hair, short and spiky is cute, but the "emo" look with your hair in your face is also handsome. Only if your hair is straight, though. If it's wavy, then long hair is a no-go.
Wavy blonde hair looks good at shoulder length, but if your hair is blond and straight then spiked looks better.
If you have wavy brown hair, shoulder length and held back in a ponytail is cute, but if it's straight then ear-length is good. Just my opinion.

True enough. My point was to be your own person. I'm just tired of this one standard of beauty... Blonde hair, "baring it all" in public, make-up as a common necessity-- the list goes on... I'm just tired of it. If you want short hair, cut it short, if you want long hair--let it grow. It doesn't matter what find of hair you have: long, short, wavy, straight, curly, or nappy. God gave it to you and you should appreciate its individual worth and value. Because God gave it to you, you shold leave it the way it is... Some things just don't need fixing. As far as length concerns, I have no clue. Do as you will.Icarus wrote:"What others think is of paramount importance to me. Taking your advice, I shall ignore what you just said."
Yeah, yeah... I generally don't trust guys with long hair... Especially the ones with the "good" long hair. They're generally used to girls flocking to them to "touch it." It's disgusting how ridiculously shallow girls can be about some things... grotesque really.Icarus wrote:I really agree with what she says. Sure, I prefer to have short hair. But the odds of our meeting are billions to one.

I don't trust them relationship wise because my interest in them is solely superficial... I guess that's my problem. I'm working on it though.chibiphonebooth wrote::O!
hey... i love to touch long hair. that doesnt make me shallow or anything. and plus, i have many guy friends with long hair who are very very nice.
Well, you're excluded. I can understand appreciating hair. I'm talking about the annoying, clingy, trying to catch their eye, over flirting kind. It aggrevates me.I definatly would trust hm. just cause i like longer hair on guys does not make me shallow or anything. its a preference. now if a girl only liked a guy BECAUSE he had long hair, then THATS shallow. not just liking it in general. >:[

Right now I am sorta sitting on the fence between the issue of whether I want to have short hair or long hair. I am interested to hear what you all have to say about the matter, whether you like to have long/short hair yourselves (if you are a guy) or if you are a girl if you like guys with long/short hair. Of course their are exceptions, but I'm mainly interested in which you mostly prefer, what you like to have if you are a guy and what you like to see if you are a girl.
Thanks!
