Anime Expo 2006!

First day's over, as far as I'm concerned...

Nobody recognized my Maes Hughes cosplay!

I'm not in a State military uniform, but rather Hughes as he appeared in FMA episode 25 [spoiler="Fullmetal Alchemist] (the one where he dies)[/spoiler] with red button shirt, black pants, dress shoes, and sports coat. I figured it would be different. Everyone keep an eye out for me, as I put hard work into growing this beard! You'll probably find me hanging out at the FMA TCG booth or playing DOA4 in the console room.

Long beach? We're talking about an event in Aneheim at the convention center, and unless you know something new, I think it's gonna be at the same place next year. Are you thinking of another Con?

It seem s to have been moved to the puny long beach center... unless they use the arena somehow. This is gonna be rough. Honestly how far is this away from the aneheim center? I was planning on going all 4 days next year but, dang, this throws a biiiig set of issues into this. Especially since they had parking problems THIS year and EXPANDED the dealer room this year.

Can anyone name a hotel near the LBCC?

GRRR!!! Turns out...Reno's voice actor wasn't there so I get no autographed napkin. My friend did pretty good in her karaoke contest though. Even if she DID botched the info on Reno's Japanese voice actor being in the FMA movie panel...turns out it was the FMA ENGLISH cast.

We're making plans to go to Long Beach already as well. NO ONE will miss my costume next year, as my friends and I are going as all the Homonculi from FMA. We don't have a Lust*, though.

*Actually, I have a friend at church who would make a perfect Lust, but she doesn't watch anime. I have one year to get her into it.

Hmm, I might have seen some of you there, or you might have seen me, and not even known it.

I was dressed as Chipp Zanuff from Guilty Gear on Saturday, Captain Smoker from One Piece and Maes Hughes from FMA on Sunday, Kurosaki Isshin from Bleach on Monday, and Chipp again on Tuesday.

And despite me not regularly visiting the boards as often as I did a while back, I still would have loved to meet some people from here at the CAA gathering...So much drama to deal with amongst my friends though >_x Well maybe next year.

Oh, but if any of you went to the FMA gathering, I was the Hughes who came along with the two girls cosplaying Gracia and Elysia...I was also the one who pulled the Michael Jackson and dangled the Elysia doll from the rooftop XD

Hope you all had a good time.

Oh, and out of curiosity, what did you all get from the Exhibition Hall? I got myself an Etna (From Disgaea) Cell Phone strap and Tea Cup, a Red Vs Blue Shirt signed by Shiela, Tex, Simmons and Caboose, and a leather Naruto Wallet (Needed a new wallet BADLY...Old one had a huge hole in it).

Why didn't all these people tell us this before the con?

and to answer your question I got manga... lots and lots of manga.
Almost got an airsoft gun too... but didnt.

^-^;;;; Too many things. Manga, a t-shirt, a tactics cellphone strap, a D.Gray-man doujinshi, a MaLoki poster, and birthday presents for two of my friends.

Next year I'll probably be reprising my Rhode Camelot and Kantarou costumes. o3o since the D.Gray-man anime is coming out soon, I'll probably be really recognizable.

*Did anyone else work at that booth that was accepting volunteers for credit? I was planning on getting FMA DVD 8, but that required three hours of work, and the boss (biggest jerk in the world) fired me after 2 hours because I wouldn't help a customer find hentai, and only gave me credit for 1.5 hour's work. So RK vol 21 was actuallly a replacement.

<< I was too busy running around the center trying to eat one of my friends (I was Alucard from Hellsing all four days ^_^)

Next year its gonna be at Long beach becuase the Aneheim center is going under construction ^^;;
