*blink* Is it just me, or do just about everybody's plans involve barbecue? What's up with that?

Yay! That's so sweet of ya! I was just starting to feel sorry for poor Canada since no one had wished it a happy day. I'm especially invested in Canada Day since it's my birthday, it's rather strange though, sharing your birthday with a country. Ah well, yay for fireworks!!!

And a happy 4th of July to everyone!

Because we Americans like our barbeque. For instance we had about 15 pounds worth of ribs and pork roast. With watermelon, corn on the cob, macarroni, potato salad, all the essentials for a good barbeque.

The barbecue was mighty tasty today. I love ribs. But when they started setting off the firecrackers I went back inside. They scare me a little.

I changed my plans and stayed with my family today. I'm glad I did, as I haven't set off firecrackers in ages. One of the girls there showed me an intersting use of artillery shells.

It was swingin'!

Enjoy the day!
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Well I'm a little uptight about some people with Roman candles in the condo parking lot. A couple of years ago there was a fire next door and the smoke damage left me living with a rotation of relatives for nine months. So I get a bit concerned when there is a potential (even if slight) fire hazard, like people using fireworks illegally nearby.

Well I could hear the fireworks going off in the park but couldn't see them really. Then right after God sent off his own fireworks in the form of lightning and thunder.

I had my own little fireworks show going on in the alluminum pots at work. It WAS really cool when they tapped the alluminum. Glowing molten metal and flaming alluminum bath! Nyahaha! Wasn't a bad night really. Didn't mean to sound pessimistic up there. ^^

I know I am a little more than a day late....
but, anyways, ny fourth of July wasn't too bad...
I went grocery shopping early in the day....then cooked dinner for my boyfriend and myself...then he and I went to see the fireworks...which ended up being a mistake....because the fireworks were 15 minutes long....and the drive home took an hour and a half because of the traffic!
...and I only live twenty minutes from where we went to see them!
