Are you looking for a movie, or show? I recommend Dai-Guard and Sakura Wars as far as shows go, and I hate to admit it, but I really haven't watched many anime movies... _-_

.Hack//sign a liminality are both good. A little slow at times though. So if your used to things like DBZ then it might be to slow. Not an attack just a suggestion. I do not hate DBZ just noy my style.

have fun watching and reading, but be careful wat you read or watch there is so really bad Anime/mange!

for action I would suggest Scrapped Princess, but it's too new to rent

for comedy and fun I would suggest Fruits Basket

I wont suggest animes to avoid, since my taste is rather unique, for instance, I hate Kenshin, Inuyasha, DragonBallZ, any Gundams, Robotech, Hellsing, and Chobits

Dunno if you'd like it, but I'd recommend Haibane Renmei (from the same guy who did Lain)...slow but really deep and intellectual...

Chobits too...if you don't mind a lot of filler episodes (personally I like the manga better).
