That's so funny! Especially since some of it did match up, though only out of context (the chopsticks, and the "kusai!" hahahahahahaha)

It's a video, and for it to be properly appreciated, it really has to be watched.

My question is if they had people acting out the parts or if they took authentic footage and made up the idea afterwards. If the latter, they did a great job with it and I found it pretty funny.

I just found this by searching for Japanese Restuarants so I don't know where it's from or who did it but judging by the discussion and movements - it's proably a skit of some sort.

Splatter me with that oil! Hey, and toss a couple of severed shrimp tails at me, too!

Seriously, I've eaten at several restaurants in Japan, and I am SO not doing it again without a native guide. Yep, there's nothing like that character building experience of having an entire restaurant's worth of people staring and laughing at you while you try to negotiate one of those "cook it yourself" meals.

My wife and I always joke around about stuff like this. How when people in the US buy cool-looking things with Asian characters on them it really says somthing like: "Stupid Americans Will buy anything."

Though it works the other way too. When we were in Japan there was a Decon of one of the churchs we went to who always wore this sweat shirt with the Playboy Bunny on it... We just couldnt figure it out, untill the missionary family we were with noted that he probably had no idea what it was and just thought it looked cool.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
