You know, I honestly have no idea. I used to spend literal hours back in high school. (partly because I was homeschooled & I needed the net for that).

Now I'm more of a net lurker. Check this & a couple other forums plus Xanga. Then I wander online for a bit or get on IM. But although I voted for 2-3 hours, it's probably closer to 1-2, depending on the day. Also depending on whether i'm playing one of my evil online games, LoL. ah well.

It used to be over 3 hours every day, but then I got a few "bad" history grades and now I'm down to 1 hour a day. ALthough, pretty soon I'm going to ask my dad if I can have mer time since I got my grade back upa nd it's summer.

During the school year, about 3-4 hours. Currently, about an hour or two

Usually that means giving a word of greeting on CAA, reading a few RSS feeds, and perhaps some bible study related searching (Which is less now that I have off-line tools to help with that)

unles you count email, which i'm on all the time at work.

More than I should. I don't know exactly though. About 2-3 typically, I think.

I usually spend about 2-3 hours on the computer but we are moving so it has been cut down to about 1-2. I put 2-3 though because that is the usual amount of time.

Well, a large portion of my job involves sitting at a computer looking at stuff on the internet (boring stuff, mind you), so I think your poll is limiting. I think I spend on average 7 hours a day (if you count the weekends). That's not including time spent on my computer doing email or in my online classes or RPGs.

Needs to be defined clearer. My technical time spent online is permanent 24/7, but times that I really do use the net by sitting in front of a computer would be all the time when I'm not sleeping. About, 16 hours a day? Maybe 15.

Well, I work online all day... When I get home I probably spend less then 1 hour per day online.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

When you ask that do you mean the time total on the internet per day or the total time at a single sitting per day or what exactly? And btw did you notice how many people answered that they had some sort of work related to being on the computer?

Believe it or not, I find that one hour is enough for just about everything I want to do on the internet. However, I do go over that on occasion when there is something lengthy I need to read or some sort of major project. If I wasn't involved with CAA, I would barely be online at all.

During the school year, when I have constant internet access, the amount of time averages to about 1.5 hours. This is because I need to check my school e-mail several times a day, and when I do I usually do a few recreational activities as well (check other e-mail accounts and that type of thing).

Let me think...
  • Volutary moderation of forum.
  • Time on CAA
  • Helping numerous computer illiterate friends code their MySpaces (its turned into a full time job -_-)
  • Reading One Piece online
  • Webcomic reading
  • MSN

Through in the occasional image search for the graphics work I do and the occasional time I get on Nintendo WiFi with my DS, it defiantley gives me and average of 3+ hours a day...
Will insert something intelligent here later... maybe
