What skin do you use?

Lite is good because it makes things go faster. Dark looks cool, but I've completely gotten used to lite now.

When you use the dark skin, you request graphics from Mith's server to make it look nice. The Lite skin doesn't have those graphics, so it is less of a strain on his server.

In other words, by making this thread and telling people who didn't know about the dark skin that it exists (and them switching), his server is forced to work harder to send out the graphic requests for that skin.

This results in CAA being slowed down. Thus, you have single handedly reduced CAA's speed by 9% by having more users request these graphics.

I use whatever I started with....since I've been here 2 years I THINK it's default but maybe not?

The difference is pretty obvious. If your background is white, you're using the Lite skin. Otherwise, it is the Dark skin. I prefer the term "Dark" to "Default" because currently the Lite skin is the default.

I'm fairly confident he was joking. In any case, I doubt that is a real statistic, unless Mithrandir decided that it would be funny to attribute a random decrease in connection speed to you.
