Germany 2006!

Talk about anything in here.

Postby Doubleshadow » Wed Jun 07, 2006 4:53 am

Darn, no game. My friend and I split the duties of getting tickets to the game and plane tickets. I found plane tickets, but he was wrong about the game tickets, and all the ones on E-Bay are too expensive. Oh, well. We are going to watch the game on TV like everyone else.

My favorite teams:
MLS - Columbus Crew
English Premier- Fulham
La Liga - Real Madrid, but my Dad´s favorite team is Barça.

OH~ PIL-SANG KOREA!!! OH~ PIL-SANG KOREA!! OH~ PIL-SANG KOREA!! OH OH LEY OH LEY!!! OI! OI! OI!

Wow, i've haven't posted in a while but anyways I do hope korea at least gets into the quarterfinals, at least. I'd LOVE for them to beat the crap out of Deutschland when they get the chance. And by no means I'm a betting man, but if I was to beat on what teams would do good it'd be these groups:
USA, Brazil, Korea, Czech Republic, France, and Spain

But that makes me wonder, what american idiot decided to change football into soccer? I mean American Football is derived from Rugby which is derived from European Football... WHAT THE CRAP??!! LOLZ

What about argentina? :P

South Korea is not the best team on the paper, but they tend to get to the quarter or semi finals in these competitions.

Norway was beaten by the Czech Republic so they won't go to Germany.

Anyways good luck to South Korea then.

Note: I think Argentina may be winning this. The seem to have the quality required.

Very good. My whole family went to watch Fulham play in Columbus when they were there. I was beside myself to see him play in person again.

Also, look what I found.

I like Brian Mcbride. A great presense in the air and a prolific goalscorer. He has even played for everton and alongside Duncan Fergunson.

If im correct he is also a christian. He is a very kind person and my favorite USA player.

Fulham have got their hands on Jimmy Bullard. He is a class act so be sure to watch him. It will put a smile on your face, im quite sure.

Congratulation by the way HwaRang777.

Just saw that South Korea beat Togo 2-1. That's not bad at all.

Uhm.... we didn't even need to guess

Korea would dominate some country like Togo XDD Then again 2-1 isn't exactally dominating.

I want Korea to kill Germany, payback for 2002

I'd like South Korea to win, and between them and Japan, they're a lot more likely to, IMO. Of course, I don't think they can repeat the success that they had last time in their own country. It would be hilarious to see them beat Germany in their own country.

Really now? Isn´t that interesting, thank you.

Today I am going to go the pub in Sol with the guys to watch the England and Trinidad and Tobago game. I want to see Trinidad and Tobago do well. If my Dad knew I was cheering against any player who at any time wears a Manchester United jersey, he would disown me. The TV has been broken so I have not seen a single Copa Mundial game. ¡Vaya!

Yeah, USA look wounderable to the Italian type of style so I excpect an easy win for Italy. Sorry US, but its hard to see you win this one. Good luck to both sides though.

England getting stronger!!! And Angola right now playing hard against Mexico. I'm hoping Argentina get aced by whomever they face in the first knock-out game.

Germany seem set to do well, but I have a feeling about those guys too.

Argentina seems to cruise through just as I expected. As for England. Did you see Crouch's goal. He grabbed the opponent by the hair and held him back as he jumped to head the ball in. That goal is seriusly one of the most dirty one I've ever seen.

Italy USA 1-1. Three red cards. 2 to the states and 1 to Italy.

Dirty match, but I must say im impressed that USA did not go under with a goal considering that they got the last red card just a few minutes after half time.

Poor Brian Mcbride. He got shouldered in the face big time.

I -had to- post considering that I did watch the match and still have the Internet until next Monday.

US did a great job fending off superpower Italy. I'm pretty pleased with the draw, despite the many red cards and fouls. I don't have any loyalties to any country (let the best team win) but I must say, I do wonder about the referee of this particular match. I know it's tough to be one but I'm not sure whether I agree with some decisions made. As for the U.S. denied goal.....ARGGGHH!!! :bang: Never had emotions switch so quickly in a matter of seconds.

Well, there must be some suprises in soccer. I'd expect a clean win for Italy, but that was quite a display by USA.

Spain, Brazil and Argentina seems to be the best so far in my opinion.'

( Can't forget Australia though )

Update. France vs South Korea 1-1.

Henry for France and Park for SK.

That I did not expect. South Korea is a very unpredictable team in my opinion. That was a strong display.

He disallowed a goal that should have been counted for, other than that I think he was brilliant. Sure there was a lot of cards, but the team disipline was severly low on the pitch that day for both sides.

Oh I've WATCHED it alot @_@ Heaven knows I've gone to many soccer games in my life. My little brother has played since preschool. I like watching them more, now that they're better and not swarming the ball. World Cup games are fun to watch because the teams are good and you can see the strategy.

Har har har. I totally expected South Korea to do such a thing.

Too bad they didn't win. But doesn't matter, because they will OBLITERATE Switzerland. (France dominated Switzerland. Bye bye Switzerland) And they need atleast 2 wins.

Korea is 1-0-1 while France is only 0-0-2

Hehe, im bad at playing soccer, but its so fun to watch. Those super-proffesionals at the world cup are quite a bunch. I love to watch players like Ronaldhinio. I mean he nearly always smiles and he is great with the ball.
