I have a softspot for Wing.
Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.

Gundam Wing. Good story + bishies= ^__^ and Epyon and Deathscythe. I actually like all the political talk and stuff too. -_-; Other than that I haven't really seen a lot of Gundam. I also liked what I saw of 0083 and I really wanna see Gundam Seed. Don't suppose anyone has any they'd be willing to share with poor little me? lol

G Gundam is my favorite. I like the fights and the gundams, especially the unique way in which they are controlled (it would see to be the best way). I also like the attacks and varied characters/gundam designs.

Well, the only one I ever finished watching was 8th MS Team...^^;;; I'd like to see GW someday. But since 8th is one of my favorite anime, I'll go ahead and go with it.

*squee* Gundam Wing. Great characterization and storyline, 5 of the best bishounen of anime who are *achem* (for the sake of this board teehee) VERY good friends, and great mech designs. :)

Gundam Wing, definately. It just seems to have a much more appealing plot, story, characters, design...everything.

And red ninja? Wing= Trowa. :rocks:

Hmmmm well Gundam Wing is awsome, I always liked Quatre, Zechs and Noin ^_^ and it had some of the best Gundams. Gundam WIng is one of those shows that most people dont know what it is about it that just makes it so irresistable, it just has the inate ability to hook you right to the end. Its a magnificent series and in reality put Gundam on the map in the states.

I liked 0083 Stardust memory quite alot too, though people tend to rubbish it, Keith rules!

And btw Millyfan, Duo has a girlfriend! :P

Ah, Gundam Wing...*squeal* One of my faves! Many bishies, kickin' robots, and a story line that makes sense...what more could you ask for? Well, maybe some better female characters, but, maybe we really can't have everything. *laughs* Heero is my favorite. I love the classic bad boy. Wing Zero Custom is the most awesomest mecha. (Besides mayber the Evas...but the Evas are scary...) If I had a Gundam, I'd squish all but three of the Gundam Wing female characters: Sally, Noin, and Hilde. The rest would be pancakes....mmmm...pancakes.... (look! A dancing banana! Off topic, I know, but I had to put it in there...I couldn't resist...)

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

To the moderation staff: Yes, I'm mentioning yaoi here, but this post isn't an endorsement of yaoi so can it stay? It's my ranting about some pairings I actually dislike :)

Sorry for the off topic digression, but it's rant time. And Gremio, you might actually be surprised. @_@

LOL, I read the Trigun fandom over at fanfiction.net all the time, and I seriously feel your pain. I despise Mary Sues, which sadly enough seem to be a huge part of Trigun fanfics :mutter: and, although I may be a yaoi fan, I find Vash/Wolfwood and Wolfwood/Vash to be idiotic (THEY'RE FRIENDS, you hear me, FRIENDS!!!!!) and mutual Vash/Knives to be so OOC and just. . .sick. Sadly enough, those are the most popular couples there: Mary Suexrandom bishie, W/V and V/W, and V/K :waah!:

I happen to be a huge fan of one canon hetero pairing (WolfwoodxMilly AWWWW  glomps) and of two alternate hetero pairings (RemxVash in AU, MillyxVash in continuation from canon). I have other favorites of a different persuasion, but I can't list them here because that would be seen as endorsement.

Point being, I wish some more people would write WolfwoodxMilly and MillyxVash. ^^ No, that isn't some sick triangle either
because in canon Wolfwood dies in episode 23, for those who don't know what happened
*Raises hand* I LOVE Vash x Meryl! Just love it! And... I have other friends, who do, too, including one who collects romance doujinshi who is just kind of disgusted with how much VxW is out there and how VxM is nearly impossible to find...

Yeah, I'm in support of Milly Fan on this... as I have similar views to the parings. I know it's off-topic. I never was into Gundam. I'd never seen Gundam wing and what little I've seen of other Gundam series just.. kinda bored me... not to diss fans of it, I just... guess I don't like the heavy mech genre so much or something... (NGE and Big O being exceptions).

VxW... ugh. You know what it reminds me of that is also so wrong? Frodo x Sam in LOtR fandom... it's very popular, and is why, after the airing of the movies, I tend to avoid the LOtR fandom on ff.net... (that and "I wanna be an Elf!" Mary Sues)... gah. It's something that the author NEVER intended... clearly NEVER intended (both Tolkien and Nightow... and the anime creators)... What annoys me SOOO much about is the twisting of comeraderie.

Comeraderie seems to be something that our society is quickly loosing. I personally ADORE the idea of friends of the same gender being so close to each other in a brotherly/friendship/comeraderie in battle relationship without it being sexual or romantic whatsover. I love the idea of having a friend whom you love so much (as a friend) that you are willing to die for them if your journey together comes to that, and yet NOT want to go to bed with them. I find it horribly obnoxious how most of the world wants to take relationships like that and twist them into "romance". IT is like the modern world is saying that you cannot allow yourself to become close to anyone without it being a romance. Such thinking, if it catches on as the norm, will leave a great many people utterly friendless, I think... if people are taught that they cannot reach out in loving friendship without it becoming erotic or romantic. I seriously worry about the state of men in our society concerning this, as it seems to be more acceptable for women to pal around all the time and not have it seen as romance or sexual... yet if men have a similiar closeness to their friends, it's seen as that.. gah.

Your telling me! ugh, Ive seen that one all too often, then they say "oh well, Wolfwood has sorta like feelings for the saxaphone player in the manga...." which somehow means all of a sudden him and vash are a couple even though its obvious Wolfwood likes Milly and Vash likes Meryl.

Wow you like em too Haibane Shadsie? Cool! I am surprised, infact I was VERY surprised to see how very little people actually liked the pairing. I was rooting for them from the end of the first volume, and it just added to how special the series was.

Ok back to topic, G Gundam was good as well, Domon rules :thumb: Oh and 0080 was good too even though it didnt have so much Mecha action.

Still off topic  , here's my counter to the Midvalley excuse: "Even *if* Wolfwood *did* have feelings for Midvalley, that doesn't mean necessariily mean he has feelings for Vash. That's like saying that someone who has those issues can't have nonsexual friends of the same gender. Blah.

Even if Wolfwood *is* bi and somehow *does* have feelings for Vash, since Vash is definitely straight (at least in the anime), the only ways that would possibly work would be noncon. . .which would be OOC beyond almost all OOCness. . .or unrequited.

Back on topic now? I think Duo is the cutest of the pilots. ^^

Now that the rant button has been used at least twice with "alternate pairings"...let's move back on topic folks.

I loved Trowa from Gundam Wing. Loved loved loved. Hated his hairstyle, but loved the character. And Duo isn't half bad either; his comments always made me laugh. And the Deathscythe was the coolest of the gundams, no question asked. And personally...I couldn't see how Quatre made it for a pilot. He comes off as so wimpy (no offense, Red Ninja)
