My dad said he heard that churches around the world, mainly in Europe, will be praying today hoping that Satan will not cause havoc today.

Oh wow, I thought I was the only one who noticed that today's date was 6/6/06. I heard some stuff that certain groups were gonna plan to do bad things today but the only thing I saw on TV today was cricket (THE HORROR!) so I guess today was just any other ordinary day...actually it was alot more quiet than usual...

*Hears Kokoro Daisuke's scream*

Never mind.

...who knows, maybe the AntiChrist will be born today? It is a bunch of superstition.

Another funny thing to think about is the fact that it was translated wrong, the numer is not 666 it is 616. Or so I've heard from my bible teacher, math teacher, friends, family, and so on. I don't know who's right, but if they got the date wrong this 666 thing is completely a waste of time.

One other thing my zip code is 616, the "real" numbers, or so I've heard.

Well it depends on who is symbolized in Rev 13:18. In Greek and Hebrew, Nero Caesar fits as 666, but in Latin it would be 616, so some versions had 616 as the number. 616 then seems to be more of an interpretation someone did. Unfortunately CAA doesn't seem to be able to post Greek characters or else I'd post the original up there.

hmmm.... if this is the end of the world today, it sure is a nice day outside for it to end on :P
(actually, today's date is quite meaningless. i mean, it's 2006... where's that 20 going? hmm? has it ran away today and the whole calender system is going to fall apart and everyone will forget their birthdays? ooooh dear! (and i htink the current calender, is overcomplicated anyway...)

and i live reasonably clase to Hell MI, but from what i've seen it's just a bunch of rednecks getting drunk there...

Well, we all know that the world won't end on a school day, or a work day, so it must therefore be ending on a very inconvenient moment on a weekend ;)

Well, our server room a/c kicked the bucket, and the emergency portable units we brought in started dripping - which headed toward our network workstation and probably too many power cables, and the place where I wanted to get a salmon teriyaki bowl for lunch didn't have them so I had to go another block and get the next-closest thing - a smaller eel bento that cost almost as much as the salmon bowl would have.

Not that any of it is connected to the date, the a/c was marginal already, and the place that I went to doesn't stock that many of the salmon bowls.

Anyway, LOL, 6/6/06!

(Of course, if you're like me, you at least thought about hitting the circuit breakers at midnight for y2k...)

No dramas yesterday on 6/6/06...

Actually, the only reference I heard to it was from a practical supervisor in the electronics lab making a comment that he was worried (done in humour though) about working on 6/6/06...

I made this into a National Holiday. 666 Day. I got the family over and we did several human sacrfices followed by some shady rituals that consisted of candles, droplets of blood, upside crosses, and goat hearts. Read from the Satanic Bible and ate human hearts It was a blast. I had a great day.

Now I have to go to church tommorow ^_^

Kidding aside, I personally don't care. If it ends, oh well I am ready. But I do not think God is gonna end the date on 6/6/06. Just a punch of paranoid hooplah. Though I did make some obersvations today that might lead us to the birth of the Anti-christ.

1. My garden got breached by killer zombie rabbts of which they chewed a vast majority of my brocolli and spinach. They also chewed a cherry tomotoe plant. I swear those inferno vermins are a spawn of satan.

2. My t.v. went out while playing video games. The color then went inverted. Satan's work I tell you! Satan's woooork!

3. I had to go to my sister 8th grade graudation in a really hot gymnasium. Hot + 8th Grade Graduation x A bunch of bubbly, shrieking 13 year old girls who look like they are going to prom = hell.

4. Watched a somewhat sexual movie with my mother. Memoirs of a Geisha (and we all know anything Japanese is Satan spawned, ne?). The end of the world is nigh.

5. Found out I have 666 dollars in my checking account. Therefore, I withdrew allll of it and threw it away. It was cursed money and doomed to purchase materials of filth, perversion, and eviiil (sinful material like anime and heavy metal).

I rest my case.

I wonder what people did in the year 666? O.o

So does this make 03/03/2003 half evil? ^.^

in the year 666, London burned down or something like that... weird.

I also hear that today was national beat-up-an-emo day, national burn-down-a-church day, among other things x.x

The series is finished... they are now in the process of milking the cash cow for all it's worth with prequels and spin-offs...

...much like the way FF7 keeps getting remakes, sequels, spin-offs, and generally just won't die. ;)

I disagree with this, actually... I think the millenium starts when the number changes, not when it's been the literal 1000 years from year 1... I mean, the decade doesn't start on the x1 does it? Well, maybe you would say it does by saying it starts exactly 10 years (and so forth) from 1... I say the decade starts when the number in yyxy the x changes, the century starts with the number yxyy and the millenium starts xyyy etc...

I still remember that argument... How many class of '01 were like "Oh, I was in the first graduating class of the new millenium!!" and point to that... The whole idea is absurd...

And by this rant, i meant to say... It's 6/7/06 now...

FINAL FANTASY 7 WILL NEVER DIE, IT IS IMMORTAL DO YOU HEAR ME, IMMORTAL...MUAHH HAA HAAAA!

Freaky FF7 fan-girl rantings aside, like Sasaki said it was pretty quiet today. I was expecting to hear about all kinds of rituals performed today and all sorts of mass malicious malevolence. Well we're all standing...unless all these acts were done in the wee hours of the day...do you know where your pets are and where on earth is my serrated knife?

Huh, well the world didn´t end. I guess biblically unfounded superstitions and human time keeping systems don´t have much sway over how God runs His universe.

yeah, I'll admit I was somewhat concerned about the number, I mean considering 666 is the number of satan and the fact that the jewish people have gotten their land back. Like, not even considering christian stuff, but because of that number I think that someone may have wanted to do something (u know like with 9/11) which I guess could have been the thing in Canada, but anyways I'm glad that this 666 stuff is over, it did kind shake my head a bit

So, yea, if you do a google search on 'events that occured on 6/6/06' you'll pretty much get a bunch of forums of people either asking if stuff happened or people wishing something would happen. You'll also get a couple of crazy people's pages as well, but you can look at those for a good laugh, I guess.
