My World Studies Teacher is a HUGE GTO Fan, and showed us an episode in class today. (Stupid people who didn't know what it was kept criticizing it... :shady:

) Anywho, he's, like, the best teacher I have. He's a Conceptual Physics teacher (2nd Period, Mrs. Lyall's Room, 2nd to the left table, Mr. Stewart!):dance:

*Metal jaw drops* Your teacher actually showed... an episode of... GTO!!! You have got to be kidding me! I hope for his career that it was an appropriate episode, cause there isn't a whole lot of them in there. Yeesh... like anime needs school banning. That will only trickle down to parents...

Antics like that get people fired...

Well, the school banning thing has already been done with the anime franchises for the elementary (primary) schools and maybe even middle schools. As for teachers that like anime... I'm lucky have a teacher that knows what it is.

He made sure it was appropriate. Eh... it got a little edgy once or twice (It was the episode where he has to take the 5 Subject Test and get the highest score... the one with the psycho girl with her toes)

hahahah even that episode is edgy; doesn't he spank her in that episode? lol

(but yeah, something like that could get him fired, hopefully the people who criticized it don't go to the board)

The first anime I ever saw, Akira, was lent to me by my high school chemistry teacher Dr. Pererya.

That's cool that you have a teacher who is into anime. Was there any particular reason that you watched it, or was it just to kill time?

None of my high school teachers were the type to watch anime, although they were more tolerant of it than most of the students. We did have a few teachers that would let us use their rooms to play PS2 though. :grin:

I've had some Floydian teachers (and I'm Floydian myself, although from Animals through the Final Cut it was a little too pungent for my tastes). Still, GTO is probably a bit much, but it is good to see a little more mainstream awareness even so.

Cool. One of my high school religion teachers came in to class one day with his guitar and started playing Bob Marley tunes. Until his string broke anyways. He was also a big Led Zepplin fan too.

but nobody cared. I guess it's because they don't like it... they ignore or thrash people who DO enjoy it. There's this kid at school named Stephen that's AMAZING at manga... almost 000.0 friends. NADA.

you guys are so lucky I'm home schooled so my teacher is my mom for every single subject. But having your mom for you teacher can have it's oppotunities. like i don't fail if i get a really low grade. :evil:

And if you think we homeschoolers are lucky because we get done earlyer! well we have just as much school to get done as you public or Christian schoolers!

Thats sweet!!! Whats tthe big deal about showing it to highscoolers??? I mena thats about wat its appropriate for...right? Man if my Mom showed stuff like that i n my classess id be in heaven!!!

My fav teacher is my New Testament teacher. He si soooo nice and he makes it really fun and interesting. We have to go through the whole NT and write a question we have for each chapter. I am soooo loving this. I am understanding the NT more and more. It is also helping me get more into the word on a daily basis. ^_^

Havn't had alot of teachers who like anime......

Though I've had tons of good ones. My Senior English Teacher is a huge LOTR fan (and a chrsitian

). (I had him for frehsman english, I didn't klnwo that though but he was still cool.

In 7th grade, I have a crazy art teacher that was absolutely nuts. He would come next to you as you did art and sing opera and then take off his socks and play sock puppets with them

I have a awesome American History teacher last year who was the biggest Simpsons fan (and he got my hooked on it).

I've had alot of other good teachers and then again, many not so good teachers.

yeah!! my drama teacher loves robotech he showed me and my friends a couple episodes and is always interestend in the new anime I gots

Definitely tell him about this site. I have had some of the best teachers ever (for public schools. I'm so blessed. Even if they didn't show anime.

Mr. Jim Roberds...My 10th grade Biology and 11th grade Zoology treacher. I swear that man has soooooooooo many guns its unbelieveable!!! Hes awesome to talk to and he even encourages his students to come visit him!! He has a Rotweiler (Roudy) whos kinda mean but a good dog

. He's gotta be one of the greatest teachers out there. He's agnostic, but he doesn't argue or criticize any religion unless you absolutely tell him off ya know...But all in all an awesome teacher!!
