What Are You Watching Now?

Postby cbwing0 » Mon Jan 19, 2004 7:22 pm

The Music board has a thread for songs that you are listening to at the moment; but I would like to know what you are watching right now. It could be a tv show, a movie, or anything like that. Let's see if we can top the listening thread! :thumb:

I'll Start:

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart! My very favorite show!!!

I was watching The National.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Neil Postman
(The End of Education)

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge

Healing hands of God have mercy on our unclean souls
once again. Jesus Christ, Light of the World, burning
bright within our hearts forever. Freedom means love
without condition, without beginning or an end. Here's
my heart, let it be forever Yours, only You can make
every new day seem so new.

His face is writhing with the pain yet it's comforting to me

Michael, I'm so dissapointed with 24 this season, is it just me? I'm totally bored of it already. Seasons 1 and 2 were so much better.

Watching old eps of Daria on my computer. I think that counts. Maybe I'll watch some Invader Zim later.
Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.

This may be considered grave digging, but I like these threads... I think this one should have survived longer.

So, to start it fresh, here's what I'm watching: Cowboy Bebop: Jupiter Jazz Pt. 2. It's amazing what i missed the first time... Partly due to the Cartoon network edits (*cough*), partly because it has been so long since I've seen it, and partly due to the fact I think there is new footage and stuff is rearranged, I hear, on this version of it...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.
