Guys, I'm in a state of shock right now. My mom just announced that my dad has lost his job. This comes as a shock because he's had his job for around 5-6 years, and they (seemingly) layed him off without reason. I'm kind of scared about this, so i'm just asking that some of you would pray for us. We don't know if he'll get a new job anytime soon, so if you guys could just pray that he gets a job soon, that'd be great. Thanks a ton to all those who pray.

Hey Spence--

I know first hand what's going on. But I don't need to rehash all that; you already know about my family and what happened with us....

I do sincerely pray that you will not have to endure the same kind of heartache we did over this. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. However, be comforted to know that even if it doesn't turn out like you want it to, you will grow because of it. My dad losing his job taught me a lot about bitterness, obedience and determination and I don't regret it. So while on the one hand I sincerely wish you do not have to go through that kind of pain, on the other I pray the Lord will strengthen you because of it. And hey, if you ever need some prayer or whatever, you know the number here. Our house is always open.
