I really don't like Kenshin for a variety of reasons. The mix of seriousness and randomness doesn't amuse me and I find it ineffective.

It's arguable if everyone (not in a literal sense, obviously) likes him, but I've never liked Light from Death Note. Many people have said that they wanted to root for him and only started disliking him when he killed a certain person, which is baffling to me (I've viewed him as the villain from the first chapter).

Tohru of Fruits Basket... I don't think I'll say anything further here because there's no good reason to upset anyone.

I'm not sure how many people like Winry Rockbell, but I LOATHE her. A lot of the time I just feel like smacking her around, and she's never very useful.

Characters I dislike:

1. All "K-drips." Named after Kenichi and Keitaro of AMS and Love Hina, a 'K-drip' is the spineless and emotionally indecisive luzer in the center of a harem show. His exact opposite would probably be a Dorsai boy of the same age.

2. Alphonse (FMA) Sorry. This is 'Christian Anime,' and this kid insists 'there is no God.'
So it's g'bye to him.

3. Vash/Spike/Naruto. Noisy Shonen. Bleah. Boring.

4. Utena & the Rose Bride. Check your Leviticus.

Then there's the list of chibi things my wife and I stuffed with ammonium nitrates and BLEW UP with a machinegun. (Legally! I -luv- my local sheriffs' dept & ATFE!) If I ever do a sequel to that AMV, 'Haru' from Gundam will top the list of targets.

You may be confusing Al and Ed. Not that I like either one of them. I mean, I could be wrong, but I don't recall Al making such statements while I think Ed did in the very first episode.

3. Vash/Spike/Naruto. Noisy Shonen. Bleah. Boring.

Spike is about as quiet and understated as a protagonist can get short of it being a plot element that he's actually taken a vow of silence.

Yeah, as RedMage said, I think you may be confusing Alphonse (the suit of armor) and Edward (the blonde one). Anyways, I actually like both of these characters. Granted, I don't agree with their religous views, but they're very real and down to earth, which I find refreshing. [SPOILER=Edward]And actually, by the end of the series, Edward resolves that there must be a God. So he's a dynamic character, too, which makes him all the more intriguing to me. [/SPOILER]

And Alphonse is just cute. X3

Anyways, as for characters that I don't like, Naruto would be on the list, most definitely. That show just annoyed me, in both the sub and dub. *shrugs* Also, pretty much any character from Samurai Champloo. Can't stand that show. XD

Actually, I don't think he qualifies. For one, the show is slightly too obscure to meet the "everyone" qualification (though that obviously isn't literal). For another, it doesn't really generate that much fandom. And, of course, I think it is arguable that he doesn't meet the qualifications for a "character" so much as for a prop used for random humor.

1. SAKURA [ Naruto]- OMG I HATE THIS GIRL SO MUCH. She's so stupid x.x;
2. Asuka [NGE] -.........She's extremely annoying and stupid.
3. Winry [ FMA]- After she smoked Ed in the face for no reason than her PMSing, I hated her.
4. Kakashi [ Naruto]- He got annoying after he shunned Naruto to train his perfect successor.
5. Alphonse[ FMA] - Also got annoying and whiney.
