CSI DRAMA @ our church

Postby Linksquest » Sat May 20, 2006 9:31 am

There was a CSI drama last night at our church's youth group and MSP, Meboeck and Peanut were in it!

I took some pics... but most of them are very low in quality because there were hardly any lights on (I didn't use flash because I didn't want to interrupt their performance) and I was sitting far away from the stage.

And then there was a human video at the end of the production which included Meboeck and Peanut.

It was hilarious when they put that bag over your head.

By the way...the guy in the white robe is me...and yes I was being beaten...by meboeck...and other people of lower height then me...because I had to play Jesus...But hey, it all went well and it seemed like it had a real impact on a lot of people who saw it...so that is good^^

Hey!! You guys copied! Our church did a CSI:[suburb name] thing too! (about a year ago maybe?) But ours was all done as a video and not live drama. What was the storyline of yours?

A guy was murdered in his home. At first they thought his roommate did it, but it turned out the roommate actually owed some guy a ton of money and was going to get killed if he didn't pay up. So the guy who was killed had sacrificed himself so his roommate wouldn't have to pay the debt. And then there was a side story where one of the CSI people had made a stupid mistake that was going to cost her her job, but her supervisor (MSP's character) made a deal with the judge that he would leave so she could keep her job. And toward the end they had two references to the verse about "No greater love." And then we had a dramatic crucifiction scene to a song called "What Held You on the Cross" to really drive the point home.

About the pictures, yes the guy with the bag on his head is MSP. That was one of the few comedic scenes. In the cricifiction, Peanut was Jesus, and I was the guy with the read hair immediately to his right.

Sounds cool!

Ours was only like a 5 minute video, but it sounds closer to the original CSI, with fake American accents and all! The two investigators arrived at the church entrance, which was declared to be the crime scene, and they determined the entry point and fingerprinted the door handle and so on (this was all done at night in typical CSI style). Then they found the communion bread and wine and discovered human flesh in the bread and blood in the wine. So they took it to their lab (aka. the church kitchen!) and examined it under microscopes and so on...
