 Hopefully, regardless of what your avatar is, the members of CAA will want to become your friend. I would glad to be your friend (and you don't even have an avatar yet).

What animes do you like? If you could list them maybe one of us could help you get one/make one from one of those.

I'd suggest picking an avatar based around your own personal interests (e.g. favorite characters, band, anime, etc.) Mine's from a really cool comic series that I read a while back, I totally fell in love with the art

I'd also suggest picking an abstract avvie or one that's the same gender as you. There tends to be a wee bit of gender confusion whenever a guy has a female avatar or a girl has a guy avatar. Though alot of people don't let that stop them

If you PM me a picture of what you'd like as an avatar, I could fix one up for you.

Thank You linksquest,That means alot. I have alot of favorite animes.as for my avatar,i was thinking of using a picture of Sailor Uranus/Haruka{yeah i know shes a lesbian but i look past that, plus she's one of my favorite sailor senshi and on top of that I think she's pretty} .I Love Sailor Moon{the original ,not the dub...the engish voices are just irritating}. so what do ya think.

God Bless,
Steve

My alternative choice is Sailor Saturn/Hotaru.

Heh. Like linksquest said, an avatar won't make you really that popular. People just use them to associate with who's talking. What really counts is who you are on the forums.

Talking to people outside of CAA also really helps too, such as AIM or YIM

Thanks,I will.I do have instant messaging. I am also doing my best to fit in around here by getting involved. I also write stories for this board..although they get ignored.but I try to keep a positive attitude about it,because I have hopes that one day both me and my works will be noticed.

thanks and god bless,
steve.

That's not terribly important. As long as it's not inappropriate, go with what appeals to YOU. It's your avatar.

If it takes any pressure off you, trust me, I don't like or dislike people based on their avatars. Avatars are just a way to distinguish users (And yes, they do become your alter-ego, but we'll ignore that fact for a moment). Don't sweat the avatar too much. Just find one you that you like and go for it! The only way to make friends is to simply be yourself. I'm sure everyone here will welcome you in just as they have me in my two years of membership.

And just as Raiden said above me, just go with something you like. I'm sure, as long as it isn't obscene, we'll be thrilled with it. But, frankly, what's more important is that you're thrilled with it. :P
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Since you say you like Sailor Uranus why don't you Google Sailor Moon and look up
SM sites that might have what you're looking for.Myself,I happen to be an Ami/Sailor Mercury fan and my avvie at another(non-anime)forum is a chibi version of Ami as Sailor Mercury(though my siggie is Mina/Sailor Venus).

Ah,a fellow sailor moon fan. As far as the Sailor Senshi go,I like them all, however i like the outer senshi a little better than the inners. to me the Sailor Senshi{both inner and outer}are the kind of girls that i'd like to have as friends{if they were real I mean.}.that's one of the reasons that I love the show.

Nice Talkin' with ya,See ya and God Bless,

Because, intentianal or otherwise it probably was.

Anywho, Christisright, I can recomend Otaku gifs to you. It a series of fan based .gif avatars of anime by anime fans.
A word of warning, there is nothing obsence or indecent about this sight yet as a public site there are a few minor forms of language but nothing above a PG rating.
Will insert something intelligent here later... maybe
