Animal Crossing... the anime!!

Never actualy played the game, just watched it being played on my friend's Cube, but I get the idea of it^^ Anyhow, Japan's airing the AC MOVIE this Dec (info from ANN). Here's a pic to get the idea of the art: http://www.dengekionline.com/news/200605/16/img/20060516_05_dobuthunomori.jpg
I assumed it was going to be a CGI movie, but guess it's anime instead.

(I'll be curious to see how it turns out. I liked the game but got kinda bored of it after a while. An anime would be interesting... depends upon what kind of take they, ah, take on it.)

I wonder if that means there will be a Harvest Moon anime coming, or if that would be too hard to sell to a producer.

Yea, I heard about this on ANN. I think it could either be really good... or really stupid, It really depends on how much plot these people are planning on putting into this. They already have a large cast of adorable characters to work with as well as a large animal crossing fan-base... If they mess this up... I'll be mad.

I seriously hope so. They pretty much have the style for the anime set up in AWL and FOMT so it wouldn't be that hard for them to come up with characters and the like. I think the hardest thing for them would be to decide which game they would base the anime on... or if they would make it independant of the games and come up with new characters.

This sounds interesting....but it would probably end up being dubbed by 4kids like all of the other Nintendo anime. -_-; I just hope that Rover (my favorite character) is in it.

Oh well, sounds kinda interesting. I just hope it doesn't turn into some pathetic tie in cash cow that everyone buys to find it looks like it was made in a weekend.

Would have to be the N64 chara IMO. That was my favorite of them all

I can't see how this will be any good. I could be wrong. But I seriously doubt it. The game was fun for a little while, but what basis could they have for a movie?! While my interest is piqued, I have very low expectations.

I've never played all of Harvest Moon N64 in its entirety but I believe that the characters from the PS title, "back to nature," are the same as the N64 version.

Well the GBA had the same characters as well but the personalities were all different. Maybe it's because the N64 was my first exposure to HM, but that one always felt the most special.
