I plan on working out and losing weight, learning Tagalog, learning Japanese, and working on my website and manga. Hopefully, I'll be moving sometime in the mix. Anyone want to buy my house? ;)

I don't have a to-do list yet, but... I plan to take a college math test in the summer. (Fun, right? *shudders*) I also should start driving soon, which really sounds fun. Aside from that, I intend to keep working out, and maybe devote more time to reading. Oh maybe I'll write some more video game reviews... I'd like to learn more Japanese as well, but it's so hard to stay motivated and teach yourself.

I wish you the best of luck, KBMaster. Ganbatte Ikimasshoi!

Implement the following in C++
1)Neural Intelligibility Index
2)Spectro-Temporal Intelligibility Index

and use (1) and (2) in some version of the ALOPEX algorithm to put together the neurocompensator algorithm. I have several other things to do, but that will keep me busy in the short term. With any luck, I'll also have to prepare a presentation for Lake Tahoe this August.

I also want to do a lot reading and miniatures painting, and maybe see if I can have a short vacation somewhere (maybe Montreal or something).
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Hmmm...my main goal for the summer is to keep myself from going insane with boredom. I haven't had so much luck with that the past few summers. XD Some ideas I've had are:

Routinely work out and eat healthier.

Keep in touch with friends from my old school.

Visit the beach a few times.

Practice driving A LOT and get my license in August.

Probably not going to get a job this summer, at least, until I start driving on my own the chances are pretty slim.

Heh. My summer to do list:

-Finish 39 drafted drawings for my Independent Study (architecture)
-Type description notes on 7 buildings for said Ind. Study
-Get my website up and running (end of May/beginning of June)
-Get prologue of my manga done and up on said website
-Continue summer job (desk clerk at resort :))
-Go to Hills Alive concert (Newsboys, Third Day, Kutless, +more [for free] X3 )
-Buy manga as the series I'm currently on update (I have a huge amount of manga that accumulated in a very short amount of time, so I have to limit myself, ^^;; )
-Work on reading list, but only after more important things are accomplished (ie. 39 drawings & manga)

Summer break? What's that. wah. ;_;

More than I can handle, probably. Mainly, though, work a ton of overtime and play catch up with bills, finish moving out of my apartment, devote the summer to pimping my computer and kind of rebuilding it, going to the beach as much as I possibly can, and, most awesome of all, I fly for free, so I'm planning to tour the US with my best friend n_n

:( So I guess I'll be studing and maybe take the wolf camping once or twice. ;)

Yeah, that's right, I'm a party animal. :grin:
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
