Today was my last day of HS!! It was a nice calm, and relaxing day.. I haven't slept since 3pm yesterday afternoon..but I feel really energized and happy!

I stayed up all to boycott a really secular allnighter my classmates were having.. Ryan stayed up with me!! *claps for MSP* and Steeltemplar stayed up with me for half of it. (till like 3am his time). It was great fun!

OK Back on topic, Who else is done with Highschool for good or just the school year, is anyone close?

One week from today is my last day. I'll only be taking two finals that day anyway.

Already ended my classes on the 2nd last week of April ^^ I'm totally relaxing and taking advantage of this free time by playing some PS/PS2 and hanging with friends when I can (since they're still at school though and I feel socially deprived alot^^) all until I get called in for a job interview...

I don't get out until the 26th, and then I've still got a whole other year to look forward to in highschool. XD I don't want this year to end yet, though! :( The school play has already ended...I haven't even taken my rehearsal schedule down yet, it makes me so sad. XD; Then the praise band I'm involved with is having its last chapel on Wednesday (we play for a church on Sunday), and then after that, that's over. :waah!: We're losing about 6 of our members, too, due to their being seniors. Also, two of my very best friends are seniors, and they'll be leaving to go to college soon! I also have senior friends I've made during the school play, and they'll be leaving...The end of this school year is sad for me, I don't want it to end! :(

I've never quite understood your end of year. Here in Australia High School ends in late November/early December for those in Year 12.

Congratulations CR! Good luck with the future and God Bless!

Happy for you in that you have graduated from High School.

Hope you've had some good memories from your time as a high school student. Those will be some of the best years of your life (but of course there are still many great things to come in life). There is a certain innocence in friendships formed during these years that in a sense surpass the ones at college.

My final examinations were over a week ago, actually, due to the fact that our semester starts rather early. Another year gone.

The American school year is based upon summer (though it is really a fair amount of spring as well). This was because in early years all children would be required to help during the most labor-intensive parts of the farming year such as harvest, which for most crops is in spring or summer. Many children wouldn't be allowed to go to school anyway, so the systems decided to set things up around this time.

Thus, despite the fact that America doesn't even vaguely resemble this agrarian culture, we still have a school year that ends before summer followed by a lengthy vacation.

I'm graduating June 9th. I can't wait. Since my exams are over, I go to school and do absolutely nothing but put up with all the "drama" circulating. So frustrating to have to declare yourself neutral every single day. Gah! Sure, I'll miss the friendships and carelessness and all that...but the rumors and catty females, I can do without.
"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."

2 Samuel 6: 21&22

Dude, I feel so old... I graduated nearly 6 years ago (6 years next month...)

I took a few years off college, and just started an accellerated bachelor's program in jan, so i don't graduate college for 2 and a half more years...

Congrads to everyone that's finished with HS! ^.^ Personally, I have another year to go T.T but even if I was graduating it wouldn't be too big because I'm taking summer classes... T__T

It does make things less relaxing, yes. Jobs do the same thing, most of the time. I haven't worked or studied every summer, but I know what you mean.

I finished my school year last week. I am so relaxed. :D
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Today was my last day of praise band (I'm in the praise band at my school; we play every Wednesday for chapel), and I'm so sad! :waah!: Like I said earlier, at least six of our members are leaving next year since they're seniors, so it won't be the same next year! :( ROFL, I think I had a lump in my throat all morning after we finished playing. :sweat: Anyways, sorry to bring down the happy tone of the thread, but I'm really sad about finishing school this year! I think it's the first time I've ever been sad about summer's rapid approach, but I guess that means I just had a really awesome schoolyear! :)
