Krispy Kreme vs. Dunkin' Doughnuts

Postby Linksquest » Sun May 14, 2006 4:37 pm

Which do you prefer?

I personally like Krispy Kreme better. I love their classic glazed epecially as well as the rest of their flavors. They may not have as many flavors to choose from, but i'd rather have quality than quantity.

I think I preferred DD since KK tends to have too much sugar for my taste, except I did like the excess of the glazed+chocolate ones KK did.

Unfortunately now that I found out I'm diabetic, I can't have either

Oh, puh-lease. This is like pitting Chuck Norris against the Easter Bunny.

With that said, Krispy Kreme.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Krispy Kreme is far too sugary, and will rot your teeth out, give you diabetes, and do perverted things to your cat. Plus it's a front for terrorism and stuff.

Please, think of the children!

I perfer Dunkin Donuts. While Krispy Kreme is all delicious sometimes, (only when they are hot) Dunkin Donuts is seriously better. They have coffee things, PLUS delicious breakfast sandwhiches. And the Dunkachinos. (Yummy!)

Plus, Krispy Kreme is WAAAAAY to sugary for my tastes, being asian and all (On a serious note, I think most asians dislike salty and sweet foods that americans like. I guess it's cause they grow up eating notsalty and notsweet foods that just happen to be better than other foods ;))

Krispy Kreme. I happen to love sugar. Plus you can get them so fresh. Yummy.
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Never had Dunkin' Donuts, my oh my gosh... free samples of Krispe Kreme (straight from the conveyer belt) is to DIE for!!! Too bad I was full at the time and can only eat 2. Donuts and licorice (any but black/white) are my guilty pleasures^^

Eww... when I was at KK though, my friend and I watched as the conveyer didn't flip over one side of a donut to cook, and then was glaced and all, so I was gunna pity the person that had the one with the one-sided gooeyness >_<
Heh, the advantage of hand making and watching donuts get made instead of letting machines so all the work^^

Oh, and Time Horton's are great too^^ Just had some last night.

the only kind of KK doughnuts I like is the glazed doughnuts when they're HOT in the morning *dies* All the other kinds are way too rich though.

Dunkin' Donuts for the freakin' win.

Krispy Kreme is disgustingly sweet and gooey. They glaze EVERY SINGLE ONE of their flavors. Sick. I think the only reason they're popular is you can get them fresh off the line. They may taste nasty, but at least they're fresh! >_<

Krispy Kreme drove out all the other donut shops around here. :(

*Dies with Neko* Never did try any of the other flavors though. They didn't really look as appealing and just looked like regular cream filled donuts etc.

Heh, had a dream a KK opened up in town and I was all like "I am SO tenting over night in a line up to be the first one in!"

My pastor's sermon today had something to do with how Chinese people + salt = Chinese food.

Krispy Kreme is the nastiest, most disgusting donut chain in existance.

So yeah. Dunkin Donuts is the champ.

EDIT: Can either Linksquest or a mod add a poll to this? It would be perfect, I think. o.o

Can I just vote "I like all donuts equally"?

All doughnuts are created equal in my mind. However, fresh + free = better, so I'm gonna have to go with Kirspy Kreme in that aspect. Free junk food is the greatest.
