People will always judge you. Regardless of who you are, Christian or not, you are judged, and judge in turn; that's just how it is. Not to say you can't work at it, but the point I make is simple. They are judging you on how you live, but you too, are judging them no?
People scoff and fear that which they cannot understand. If they do not possess your level of understanding then you cannot expect them to just "see the light". They must derrive that conclusion on their own.
Sometimes people need to walk in shadow, that is, they need to walk down the wrong path, suffer, and learn their lessons. Just as a child is told not to touch a hot stove, sometimes they'll never learn until they get burned. It might be just the thing they need; they go down the wrong path, realize their blunder and steer clear henceforth. They'll never consider or wonder about the other path afterwards.
You need to stand strong in your beliefs, IF you truly put faith in them, regardless of what people tell you. Don't be close minded, as more perspectives lead to better understanding, (which in turn can strengthen faith) and stand your ground.
