If CAA were Shut Down Today...

Talk about anything in here.

Some of my closest friendships are with Mave and Psycho Ann, but I speak with them regularly via e-mail, collaborate with them on projects, and in about a month we'll be meeting in real life again. But there are other people that I mainly encounter here on CAA, and I wouldn't want to lose their opinions on matters.

I felt a great bump in the Thread, as if millions of posts suddenly bumped in terror and were suddenly silenced.

I'd miss the civil discussion about anime that makes you feel good about being a Christian and still loving anime at the same time. <kiss-up>And all the nice mods. This site has the nicest mods.</kiss-up>

Defintely the friends I've made here, and the overall atmosphere of CAA. The Role-plays, goof off *TG's everyone for good measure*, everything about it.

I have no idea what you might be talking about.

[You didn't miss anything; it is a running inside joke. Very inside, according to some.]

Yes, keep saying that. Maybe one of these days we'll decide to stop beating you. XD

No, really, thanks for that. All the staff appreciates your support!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Yes, I know it was two pages back but I still found it funny enough to do this to register that I had a huge laughing fit upon visual contact with the following:

I would miss my free time.

(Think about it for a minute).
 So very true.

I'd definitely miss the people on CAA. Even people I haven't often talked directly to - it is the people here that give the good feeling I get whenever I'm on CAA. The... good will, I guess. The people I encounter here are all good value and worthwhile.

CAA contains good people, clean fun, advice, a chance to help others and be helped, to share talents and make good conversation. I'd miss all those things.

[conspiracy theory]Perhaps the CAA itself if really... alive???[/conspiracy theory]

Well, unless there was a massive diaster that took the system off-line, we've got a daily backup system that keeps the system up and running smoothly. I don't think we'll need to worry too much about it. :D
